We just had to take my elderly mother to the ER for dangerously elevated potassium (hyperkalemia). She has been taking chemo for the last couple of weeks to treat ovarian cancer but to my knowledge, Carbo/Taxol does not induce hyperkalemia. Her weekly CBC bloodwork came back this morning with the results.
What I just learned is that Covid (or more likely, the spike protein) CAN be a cause of hyperkalemia.
She hasn't had Covid but guess what, she did get the jab about 5 weeks ago.
Of course, there is no way of knowing whether the vaxx is the cause. I had not heard whether it can result in things like causing dangerously high levels of potassium requiring immediate hospitalization.
