The airlines were done decades ago. This just means less flights, less employees and more taxpayer support.

Funny, yesterday I mentioned ivermectin to my wife and she goes I think we have a bottle of that in the fridge. Sure enough, we did. 1% solution. The label says its for cows and pigs, but she bought it for the dogs. Apparently its much, much cheaper than buying heartguard or whatever the heartworm medicine is called. I may or may not have dosed 1.5 ml of it.

I might have to consider trying the untried adult beverage chaser. Hilarious!

You have not seen anything yet.
Covid fear is with for another 6 months to a year, lock-downs, masks, restrictions galore.
But wait the big one is coming back "Global Warming". get use of seeing a lot of Greta's. So will have K&G, Karen's and Greta's.

Karl you warmed up in the bullpen for GW.

Do we see where this is going, one by one, they start requiring something to do with covid for getting services. test negative, must have vaccine. NY trying to mandate vaccine in their laws(hopefully wont pass). How far will it extend to the point where you have yo show proof of vaccination for some basic services like entering a bank or grocery store?
Better nip this in the butt before it gets widespread and become the norm.

My take on travel i.e. flying, cruises etc. is the cost to do it is going to be so high that only the rich will be able to do it. So basically we will be going back in time. The passengers on the titanic were rich folks-something along those lines. I also think at some point oil becomes extremely expensive forcing us to use an Uber or Lyft if we really cant bike or walk. Cost to own wont make sense for anyone except the rich. Its all about dialing back the American middle class IMO.

ivermectin , great , cept its unobtainium without a prescription. in other words we are denied choice of treatment in addition to other insults. there is the vet stuff but the FDA issued a big warning about how dangerous it is. Indeed some contain 5 other deworming agents.
i have a tube from AVL , as far as i can research it is just ivermectin and water 10 mg/cc

@Onelegged, yep I mixed up the typing. Steamboat, while I was thinking of Aspen and Vail.

Watch what is happening with the extended rentals in the wealthy resort towns like Aspen. Combine that with the increased use of private air charters, and we can see the future:
Fly private with your group of six to ten people and have the 3 or 4 week rental ready to go in case of quarantine. This keeps the masses of vacationers out. The wealthy folks can dig this. Though local workers still need to be kept around to clean the toilets.

Everyone else sits at home watching TV.

If you look at Uber and Lyft stock (unfortunately I have missed the boat) they seem to have turned a corner and may be starting to price in people owning fewer cars. For me personally Im going to try and get me an all electric to hopefully dodge higher gas and maintenance costs and still have my own vehicle for getting around town. Unfortunately where I think we are headed rich folks that own their own cars and flaunt that fact are going to be targets for increasingly desperate folks that are now stuck on a universal basic income..off the subject but just thinking out loud bigger picture.

Off topic: had an ER nurse prac in the office a moment ago. He claims he got covid in October, last year. ER visits at that time went from 20/day to 60. These people were diagnosed with Unknown Virus Syndrome and sent home.

That kind of goes with my observations as well.

@Tickerguy I know you are a blackberry fan as am I. That stock seems to be turning a corner with self driving cars seemingly being the story. Fortunately I didnt miss the boat on this one. I just wish they would make their own phones again. I want a third party when it comes to phones.

my wife and I both woke up with a fever today. we have been taking Quercetin, D3,C,zinc,and K2 since the start of this. I got the injectable ivermectin from tractor supply and put it in apple sauce. I used the same rate as pigs get. let you know how we make out. thanks again Karl

Well there are plenty of bugs that cause fever...... and it IS flu season.

The problem with "case reports" is that they're not data, but I'm sure people will appreciate the report, even though the approved way to do this (Ivermectin) is to find a doc that will prescribe it. What individual people choose to do is of course up to them but since this IS an approved medication by the FDA and not some quackery under the law any doctor CAN prescribe it off-label.

yeah I know Karl, can't hurt though. The wife is worried and it made her feel much better. She is a teacher and will have to have a test in order to return to school. Of course it will be the pcr test so what will we know?

''any doctor CAN prescribe it off-label.''

up here in BC you can't get a doctor let alone run about asking them. I do have a doctor sort of but i would guess she is brainwashed zombie like everyone else up here . orange man bad = ivermectin ?! bad!!

I called the Drs. office first this morning and was told that he probably would not prescribe but that he would call me back. He has not. Also tryed to contact those on Peak Prosperty and did not get a reply. I guess that they got swamped today. I am not worried. I am 68 but have been eating low carb high fat moderate protein for years and I run 3 miles a day 5 days a week

@Jwjw, I have a chef friend who moved to Steamboat from Denver two months ago for a seasonal gig, his rent is astronomical for a shabby closet of an apartment, and the restaurant / tavern had to close their dining room and bar a few weeks ago. He is RAILING against the "Texans" who strut into the town demanding to be entertained and catered to as entitled tourists, reckless mask - shirkers. He is furious with them and blames them for the shuttering of his restaurant doors, now he is quitting, breaking his lease, and moving back to Denver. Now, I've known him for 25 years and always considered him to be a fairly intelligent and reasonable man. Imagine the percentage of the population of average or below average reason, who feel this way. My "friends list" is atrophying at an exponential rate. I struggle a little bit with the anger and sense of loss. A couple extra layers of thick skin growing, shifting personal human resource priorities.

I wonder why he didn't take Invermectin?

President Donald Trump's personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, has revealed in a call to his own radio show that he is being treated for coronavirus with the same drug cocktail his boss received when he was ill with Covid-19.
He was admitted to hospital on Sunday after becoming the latest official close to Mr Trump to test positive.
Mr Giuliani, 76, told the show he expects to leave hospital on Wednesday.
He has been treated with Remdesivir and Dexamethasone, he explained.

SCOTUS will pull the switch in time saves 9 as SCOTUS did under the threat from FDR!
If not, the DNI report due 12/18, the 45th day after Nov 3, as specified in the Sept 2018 EO will lead to the implementation of that EO.

This comes from applying the long held advice - 'those that do not remember the past, are doomed to repeat it' -

Advisedly, just saying, really!
