@tickerguy I really, really, hope this is one of those humanized mouse studies that doesn't prove up in actual humans. Talk about the sins of the fathers being visited upon the children.

Damn. So now we can pile abortion on top of everything else. Satan really is having a grand old time these days, isn't he? Abortion is so great, from his standpoint, because not only do you get a dead baby, you get two adults who will carry psychic and spiritual wounds around for the rest of their lives.
(And yeah, I know whereof I speak. Not me personally, but MANY people I know.)
Karl,
I created a login just to post this. I have been a reader since Ann Barnhardt first mentioned you. I bought Leverage when it came out. Its a safe bet I have read every post you have ever published since I found you. When 2020 hit and you dissected the Diamond Princess data, I used that to convince my wife we would be ok. I believe you saved lives with this blog, possibly mine. I was facing an employer mandate, but pursued and received an exemption. My wife backed me 100%, even when we faced potentially selling our home, if we lost the exemption battle. Our faith in Christ was paramount, but you gave us a firm data set to back up the still small voice telling us to avoid the jab and not to be afraid.
From the bottom of my heart thank you, Karl. I consider you a friend. To support all that you wrote above, I will just add that my son started his fall baseball season not long ago. After the first practice, one of the dads who was so good with the kids at practice and was helping the coaches, went home and died in his sleep. I watch his son now and weep for all that we have lost. This is not some esoteric argument about masks and mitigation policies. People are dead and maimed. We are not debating outdoor dining. That kid lost his dad. There have to be millions of people permanently harmed. Its like we had a war. We cannot just go back.

TG, I apologize right off for asking, but I can not find your article on getting the jab and every person who did now has higher Troponin levels in the blood.
can you direct to what the topic was called.

While I was reading the article from the Atlantic, I didn't detect one bit of humility or self reflection from the author, on why they and the "experts" got so many things so wrong. For the last two years, I've had people telling me that I'm being selfish, that I'm being indifferent to whether other people get sick or die, and that I'm not "following the science". I have had my employment and access to simple services like getting groceries threatened or restricted, have been forced to undergo mandatory screening while the vaccinated employees were exempt, and they've attempted to shame and coerce me into doing something that I did not want to do. In other words, they've been complete sanctimonious pricks. After all the shit they pulled, we don't even get an apology. Just more sanctimonious behavior. They can go fuck themselves; I want heads and accountability.

It gets worse - the damage appears to be inheritable. If that proves up and you OR YOUR PARTNER took it your KIDS are fucked.
The hits just keep on coming. Is there ever going to be an end to this crap?

My best friend told about 7-8 years ago that liberal progressive types have no insight. They are a lot like mentally ill people in this respect. Mentally ill people also lack insight.
A proper field of psychology (which of course doesn't exist) would research the link between liberals and the lack of insight.

What's bothering me right now is the possibility of a nuclear war with Russia and possibly China. I can't help but wonder if the horrendous scale of the covid-19 disaster may be such that the political class may be willing to risk nuclear war in order to distract attention from and to evade responsibility for the covid-19 debacle. I know this is not rational at all. But there are times when I think much of our political class is so consumed with narcissism that they may engage in irrational acts.
David Goldman (aka "Spengler") has many personal connections to people in the state department and O-6 and above pentagon. He said on one of his Facebook postings that many people who he considered to be rock-solid rational in the past have "lost it" with regards to the decline of American power with respect to the rest of the world. He believes these people are not able to "handle" this decline psychologically speaking and that the political class may be having a collective temper tantrum over it. This makes for dangerous times right now.

I changed the format of the image I attempted to share in my previous post, so the file size is smaller, but still legible.

I know I'm being a broken record here but I'll add my thanks to Tickerguy as well. It was thru reading him that I developed my understanding of the dangers of the shots and it is his writing that keeps me sane in this insane world. I wish mY husband could have read and believed as well but that has not been the case. The only thing I can be thankful for right now is that he is not pushing it on our kids and is allowing me to dictate that they don't take any of these death shots...
I've begged him to ask his parents not to take any more shots but that is in his hands now and if his dad dies from the consequences of his, at least, 4 shots than that will be on his head...
As to forgiveness? I can forgive those who ask it of me if they are sincere or those who never pushed their beliefs on me but all of those who pushed, coerced, threatened. No, they will have to seek it somewhere else... I will forgive family members as well but I will NEVER forget how I was treated and that will ALWAYS color my interactions with them...

Amnesty?
Here are our terms: Drop your mandates, slink back to your holes, beg forgiveness from every Pureblood you see along the way for 2 years of coercion, theft, and public humiliation. For every missed visit, unattended wedding, funeral, and holiday.
Before we let you leave, you must present yourselves to us, put your heads between your legs, and kiss your own arses.

KD, Inherited fucked is something I dont even want to contemplate. Yet I wondered if my kids were the end of the line when they all drank the koolaid. Its pure suck when everyone you love has yielded to madness.

The evidence for the fucking being inheritable is quite thin at the present time -- not enough for me to put a stake in the ground on it.
But -- the reason you never undertake a mass-medication path without ruling it out is exactly that risk, and you CAN'T rule it out until and unless you have the TIME to study it across births, which has to be the LAST thing you do lest your orphan every kid born who's parents take the crap.

Well, until you do I will assume for the time being that the damage is not inheritable. Neither my wife or I got the shots. But most other people I know personally, including my sister, BIL, and niece got the shots and are fully onboard with the vaccine express. Needless to say, we do not talk about this issue when we talk on the phone (they live in a different city from us). My niece needed the shots (and boosters!!!) for college.

I just checked the website for the university my niece is at. They require the initial shots and one booster. This despite knowing full-well that the strain the original shots were intended for no longer exists. But of course the shots are completely harmless! (sarc) So no harm in requiring the kids to get them!
They are really doing a number on the kids and young people.

Why is it the left always wants us to accept and/or forget their invasions of our privacy and freedom, but they will condemn our side for fighting to keep it and never "forgive" US.

I'll add my big huge THANK YOU not only to Karl but to all my fellow commenters here. And not only for all the links, anecdotes, and advice, but also for simply the fellowship, if I may call it that.
Like most folks here, I have lost some friends over the last 2-1/2 years, and relationships with some of my extended-family members are altered now in a way that causes me real grief.
I have seen some people here say that while they have lost some friends, they have gained lots of new ones. I have gained exactly TWO new friends. Guess I need to get out more.
I'm also grateful for the "Russia" thread in The Bar, since there are some people there who are not rabid with Putin-hatred, as nearly everyone else in America is. If it's hard to find people who haven't bought the media's lies about all things Covid, it's dang near impossible to find people who haven't bought the lies about Putin and Russia.
I value truth far too much to ever toss it into the ditch in order to conform to the herd, but damn, loneliness sucks. So I treasure -- and I do mean TREASURE -- finding like-minded people. (Not that we agree on every little thing -- indeed, some of you have challenged me in ways that have helped me grow. But we start from a mutual base of independence from The Herd and respect for each other.)
Though I've only met one other Ticker-Forum chum in person, I value so many of you whom I've become acquainted with here, even if it's only online.
God bless you!
Eugyppius calls Emily Oster a Head Girl and says the type has permeated much of our institutions. I know the type. I saw them coming into prominence starting in the mid-90's and have never liked them. To me, Emily Oster precisely matches the description of "The Organization Kid" in that famous article at was also in The Atlantic back in 2001
https://www.eugyppius.com/p/once-more-on....The Organization Kid:
https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/arc....So The Atlantic hired the Organization Girl, who now seeks "amnesty" for all she and other like her have done over the past two and a half years.
