Major Murphy sure has lot of official photos of himself on the intertubes, all linked below from 2018. I can't find anything about him being a DARPA fellow. I have seen a short statement about this SARS revelation supposedly from him somewhere and from one part of his comment he seems to be a man of faith... which WOULD be the kind of person most likely to stand up and possibly risk his career over this.
