off topic but i've been downloading the UK weekly vaccine surveillance reports and adding them to a spreadsheet, and i thought you might find this interesting.

the case rates in vax populations have been steadily getting worse week over week relative to unvax... (see the lower columns 'ratio 37-36' is subtracting the ratio from week 36 from the ratio week 37, showing across the board increases; and same for 38-37.

i also checked the rates for week 37 18-29 age group for "partially vaccinated" and it shows 2x the case rate in partial vax vs unvax.

This is unbelievable information thank you! I live in South Africa and have been taking Ivermectin as prophylactic since December. But if the therapeutic treatment is this easy, Im going to send this to my GP mate and ask him if its necessary to continue with Ivermectin.

I picked up something Sunday. Didn't make me sick but I could feel I was fighting something off. Treading water anyway. Then Tuesday morning I could feel a slight infection in my chest. I know the feeling because any time I get a cold - once every 2-3 years - it leads to a chest infection I need antibiotics to get rid of.

I don't have the option of ivermectin. What excuse can I make? I live I Canada. Anyway I did have some 21 month old antibiotics around(Amoxicillin Trihydrate). I began taking them, 3 tablets that day, and by Wednesday I felt healthy again.

I mentioned to a friend yesterday that it couldn't have been covid because antibiotics don't work on that virus. Which brings me to the point of this post: are antibiotics a form of covid treatment that works?

@Oliver1655 - As others have noted the meters are all basically the same. I had one that was MANY years old (used on my father when he was on hospice) and the "lower priced" ones all look EXACTLY like it -- including the layout of the displays. The "fancier" ones just have nicer displays. I bet the actual algorithm and electronics are identical. They're CHEAP -- $20 or so -- and there's no reason to pay more as you don't get more.

@Eoinw - Macrolide antibiotics (Zpak and a few others) have immune modulating methods of action AS WELL as being useful against bacterial infections. Most other classes of antibiotics do not and likely are worthless against Covid. HOWEVER, if you get a secondary bacterial infection....

I'm not a doctor but I generally avoid antibiotics unless they are necessary. I wouldn't make it a habit of taking them every time I felt off.

I would definitely NOT use them prophylactically -- ever. You can easily wind up with an antibiotic-resistance bacterial or worse, fungal infection that is very hard or even impossible to treat. In other words, DEAD.

If KNOWN infected its a different story. But antibiotics are absolutely drugs you do not take without good cause, ever.

I wouldnt take an antibiotic unless absolutely necessary. Your gut microbiome is very beneficial and you dont want to destroy it needlessly.

Yes I'd heard about how taking antibiotics orally is like carpet bombing your stomach.

I just read something of more than passing interest, an essay by Norman Lewis entitled "The Danger of Scientific Dogmatism."

It is mainly an introduction to the work of Robert Edgar Hope-Simpson, an English physician who won the Nobel Prize for his decades-long work that led to his discovery that shingles was caused by the same virus that causes chicken pox. You can read an interesting bio at Wiki. He was basically a country doctor. A very good one. He observed closely and kept records of patterns of illness in his patients and also carried out some studies in isolated island populations.

Hope-Simpson did a lot of deep thinking about how viruses are transmitted---namely, he hypothesized that since the influenza crops up in many places at once, it cannot be the result of human transmission in its active form. The virus must already be present in a dormant form and then be activated by various seasonal phenomena. Lewis points out that the covid orthodoxy has led to the sidelining of many potentially productive lines of inquiry, regarding esp. the numerous reports of the SARS-CoV-2 virus or of covid-similar outbreaks in disparate locations as early as 2019.

I hope this precis will motivate you and others to read the essay, as it is well written and, I believe, highly relevant to both the medical and the political situation. I guess you could call it "medicopolitical."

I was gobsmacked to read in the NYT at the library this a.m. that "Experts" and "an FDA committee" or some such vague language has voted to approve the boosters.

I saw no mention of the fact that the "FDA Vaccine Advisory Committee" (actual name of committee) had last Friday voted AGAINST approving the boosters except for a few circumstance. WTF???

It's no wonder the public is bamboozled and confused.

The overuse of antibiotics has in many cases caused a epidemic of C.Diff.
My mother who is 92 had it twice and it can be very serious and very expensive.

I had to tell them to test for it because her previous physician said it was probably just IBS and told her to take Imodium. After a sinus infection.
The second time she got it, was after a hip fracture surgery when they gave her an antibiotic.

They treated her with an one antibiotic to get rid of it and than another after the first one didn't work, that only relieved it for about a week and it came back with a vengeance.
I than started doing some serious research and found the one that had been successful in eradicating C. Diff and told her physician. They had never heard about it.
Surprise, surprise. Anyway, that was successful. So far so good, and its been about 6 months. Only trouble is that it cost $ 1100.00 for ten pills and that is with insurance.

Doctors are not to give this advise to patients or use these therapies for hospitalized patients. Family members are not allowed to bring these items into the hospital.
WTF. Do everything you can to stay out of the hospital.

Apparently less than 2% of the FDA budget was used for studying COVID last year. I'm sure it was used to debunk any treatment but the VAX.

I thought that the correlation between vitamin D deficiency and severity of covid symptoms was very strong. Like, almost all patients in the ICU had a deficiency in vitamin D. It is also known that about half of all people are deficient in vitamin D. So how is it that the government has not been telling people to get their vitamin D level checked with a simple blood test, and supplementing if necessary?

@Larryboy - I'm not a complete idiot, but am virtually positive that I inhabit the left side of the IQ bell curve and most other bell curves that can be constructed from TF members. Regardless, I consider that I offer colorful, comedic relief.
