Yes, a gas refrigerator.
Reminds me of the family cabin in the UP of Michigan. My great grandfather was in the LP gas business, so most everything ran off propane. We had mantel lamps, the furnace, commercial griddle, gas range, a couple of Servel refrigerators, and a generator which ran intermittently for extra lighting and to pump water from rain barrels into an elevated tank.
There ended up being a recall on the refrigerators in the late 90s. The burners could become fouled and produce carbon monoxide. Even used intermittently, which might have been tougher on them than continuously, they were 40-50 years old when removed and functioning okay. Sometimes lighting the pilots was a pain, but always eventually lit.
