I find Blackcrow's comment especially poignant. We have been a morally and spiritually sick and bankrupt society for as far back as I can remember, or 1983 at the very latest, and the Trump Dementia phenomenon was the first sign that this condition is metastasizing. What's happening now is the full culmination of that metastasizing. I really do believe that there is such a thing as karma, on the individual and group levels, and it is increasingly appearing that there is no longer any other possibility left to us as a society than royally reaping the proverbial whirlwind.
