I would be interested to hear if anyone else thinks that this media blackout is also part of 5GW/cyberspace: as I see it perhaps all of the insights of social media have been weaponised to destroy the minds of the political class plus the economic and military power of the USA. From an analytic perspective the social media platforms are machine learning assisted mob maps showing directly who listens to whose opinion across the nation and what the psychological weaknesses are of any participant. That stuff is probably available on the open market as maybe no-one had really clocked the national security aspect until . . . I don't know, July 2020?? I guess our neighbours with the hammer and sickle had done a lot of advance planning and possibly had been using their backdoors to observe cybersecurity exercises in great detail. Ordinary telecoms are one thing but military access is a whole 'nother thing.

With a spillover effect all over the anglosphere as observed over here on Airstrip One, I think the epicentre is aimed at the USA. I am usually in the corner with Hanlon (incompetence being much more widespread than malice in general) but something is so definitely wrong I am hunting around for explanations. I don't know whether I need to stump up for a copy of 'Extraordinary popular delusions and the madness of crowds' -- it feels like that is the playbook and maybe I should search it for clues about the descent of the USA and the anglosphere into frank insanity.
