To go off on another tangent, Dr. Zhivago is on TCM today, but we'd have played it today regardless.
I always watch it on the coldest day of the winter, and that seems like today.
helps make it a bit more real.
I should chill some vodka for pre-function, though. Maybe go take out one of the Mosin's.
Funny you mention this movie. I picked it up from the library ahead of the storm that dumped about 18" on us here in NJ, and watched it about a week ago.
There's a great line where Victor says to Lara about going to a union protest, "You're not going to that PEACEFUL protest" (said sarcastically).
As I consider the typical audience on this blog, I have one movie recommendation that I was VERY surprised that I liked so much.
Ford vs Ferrari .
It was like the producers/directors/writers/actors were forced at gunpoint to make a movie for "us".
As I told my sons, "this is a movie that is a great backdrop to understand what the country that I grew up in was like.....it was all about chasing a dream, being a maverick and winning and losing by your own choices". Well, I said something like that.
My gun owning and prepping friends also liked it, so I must not be alone in this. They hate everything out of hollywood.
Hardly a PC moment in it, while still being safe for children. I really liked it.
