I just - I struggle to comprehend the possession of fear in some people. I've been volunteering for a kitten rescue since May, mostly fostering and providing spay transportation bi-weekly. The lady who runs the organization, who holds a master's degree in education (indoctrinated but not a "commoner"), has, only over the past week, decided to stop seeing me in person when I pick up or drop off kittens. Her reasoning is that, even if I placate her by wearing a mask (as I do at any store that requires them), she knows that I don't believe in them (I tried to encourage her to take the vitamins to strengthen her immune system, and watched her eyes glaze over). Now, I don't work, live in the country, and rarely see other people in person, but now I am an unwashed threat to her. If I didn't care about the animals, I would tell her to eat s**t and get f*ked. She's young and has a child who's been pulled out of all in person interactions over this as well. That poor child is learning how to be terrified of all other humans because they *might* have a cold. I'm so thankful to be older and to have no skin in the future of humanity.
