I saw some 60 Minutes or other some such a while back about the nightmare it was for people that had been inadvertently put on the list to try to get removed. It screwed up everything for them.

I keep coming back to this post from Antone. It makes me go "hmmmm..."
An interesting thought to think about should someone want to drop out from under (cough) someone's (cough) radar, for some strange reason known only to them.
