There are some encouraging anecdotes that the boosters are causing some to open their eyes--particularly the buffoonish way they have gone about it. They should've started talking up the possibility of a future need for boosters from the beginning, rather than saying as recently as May that there was no need for them. They've basically gone through a little act portraying surprise and careful following of the data, but in reality, they've projected cluelessness. And announcing the boosters before the approval of vaccination for 6-11 year olds might save a few thousand of them if it makes their parents hold off. 2021-08-21 07:51:44
