Apparently Big Pharma knows no bounds in their search for obscene profits.

There is now a genetic based vaccine for a viral disease in rabbits, available under an EUA (because rabbit disease is an obvious Emergency) and pending FDA approval.

https://rabbit.org/2022/01/faq-for-medge....

Quote:
this (recombinant) vaccine does not involve any infectious virus or whole viral particles and cannot cause viral shedding in vaccinated animals. However, if a vaccinated animal is infected with RHD, it may shed virus without showing symptoms.

and
Quote:
In ... preliminary tests, all vaccinated rabbits survived a challenge which means that researchers intentionally injected the live virus that causes RHD into rabbits who had been fully vaccinated with Medgenes vaccine; 100% of vaccinated rabbits survived this challenge in laboratory conditions.

Should we expect another Marek's disease scenario in rabbit populations going forward?

yes a very astute observation , but in order to solve a problem it helps to define it first as i was attempting to do. Canada, australia , UK , Eu are subject to the same forces.
How much nutting up would you have wanted Trump to do? Hitler and Stalin were very good at nutting up, JFK nutted up with his life. How many kudos/reforms did that achieve ? Are americans worth it ?
The subject is now moot in any case.

It is a great speech. I agree with it. However, I have been trying to think of one elected politician who would have given that speech in March 2020 or an unelected politician who would have been elected if they did. Blanca mentioned Ron DeSantis. I am not sure he would have in March 2020. Later in 2020 there was a possibility. DeSantis was one of the first to stop the lockdowns and mandate stupidity.

Trump was already hated in March 2020 and being vilified for not doing enough to "stop Covid-19". If he gave that speech, it would have sent Boobus Americanus into the stratosphere and maybe to the moon.

We still have idiots wearing masks (even cloth ones) while driving in their cars alone. I know people who are still wearing masks and gloves on a daily basis. They don't want to hear or know the truth.

We still have federal and state gov'ts running jab PSAs on a daily basis. Many PSAs are targeted to minorities. There are still jab mandates to get private and public sector jobs. They want to be in fear and think they are protecting themselves and others.

I fought some of this stupidity about being unjabbed and having natural immunity at my place of employment. I sent the NIH papers and other back up to my management. They replied we are following gov't recommended guidelines. Why was this their response? They didn't want to get sued or fined. Depending on which state or jurisdiction you live, you can still be punished for going against the guidelines that have been lifted.

Lemmings will be lemmings. Since Trump was already persona non grata by about 50% of the country and politicians and 90%+ of the media and bureaucrats, it would not have mattered if he gave that speech. TPTB would have still "shot"/undermined the messenger.

The "they didn't want to get sued" argument is perplexing. Sued by whom? The government, the person who got sick, or the person who got fired?

You can't act like getting sued is a nuclear option when everyone has the ability to do it. It is the justification of cowards.

@sonoran_monk

Sued or fined by the state or feds. In deep blue progressive states when the state speaks you conform or spend a lot of time and money fighting it. If you were involved in gov't contracts, big brother was watching.

John Stossel said before, "insurance makes health care expensive." It's true!
In the US, we have the worst of both worlds, a largely socialized system with almost no administrative cost caps.
In fact, it looks like the employer driven plans inflate prices by about 40% in my estimation.
This is the result of the Democrats' hard-on with pushing "Medicare for everyone," and the Republicans' fixation on "being pro-growth, pro business."
The Covid-19 "response" nonsense simply made everything worse.

Preprint on whether vaccines increased mortality

Is there a Link between the 2021 COVID-19 Vaccination Uptake in Europe and 2022 Excess All-Cause Mortality?

https://www.preprints.org/manuscript/...

(Western Norway University of Applied Sciences).

Conflict of interest statement

The authors declare no conflict of interest.

We primarily study a possible link between 2021 COVID-19 vaccination uptake in Europe,

and monthly 2022 excess all-cause mortality,

(i.e., mortality higher than before the pandemic)

Analyses of 31 countries, Jan to September, 2022

31 EU member states, plus Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Switzerland

All-cause mortality,

increased more the higher the 2021 vaccination uptake

Countries with more covid vaccines in 2021 had higher excess mortality in first 9 months of 2022

Positive correlation between vaccination in 2021 and excess deaths in 2022

A one percentage point increase in 2021 vaccination uptake,

was associated with a monthly mortality increase in 2022 by 0.105%

(95% CI, 0.075-0.134).

When controlling for alternative explanations

The association remained robust

2021 all-cause mortality

Was lower the higher the vaccination uptake

Inverse correlation between previous covid vaccination and all-cause mortality in 2021

(this association became non-significant when controlling for alternative explanations)

Eurostat

https://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/databro.......

EU experienced excess all-cause mortality in the first nine months of 2022

COVID-19 vaccination has prevented SARS- CoV-2-related hospital admission and deaths

Lancet (5th May 2021)

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33964/

BMJ (13th May 2021)

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33985/

COVID-19 vaccination has side effects such as myocarditis and pericarditis

JAMA Cardiology (1st June 2022)

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35442/

JAMA (25th Jan 2022)

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35076/

A recent study falsified a suspected association between the two diagnoses and COVID-19 virus infection

Journal of Clinical Medicine (15th April 2022)

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35456/

Post COVID-19 infection was not associated with either myocarditis or pericarditis

Vaccination uptake is the percentage of the total population that has received a primary course by week 52, 2021.

The interaction between vaccination up- take and time passed in months since the beginning of 2022 is strongly significant and implies that the mortality increases the higher the vaccination uptake.

Potential reverse causality

Could the excess mortality have caused the increase in vaccinations?

Concerning alternative explanations

We controlled for average all-cause mortality in 2020 and 2021,

divided by the average between 2016 and 2019

Relatively low mortality at one period is followed by relatively high mortality later, and vice versa.

We still observed a significant association between 2021 vaccination uptake and the 2022 monthly increase in all-cause mortality.

South Dakota didn't lock down. They did close schools and had a restriction on the number of people in gatherings but it was lifted after a couple months. They got rid of mask mandates around mid summer. She took a lot of heat nationally and as the only state on that path I admired her for sticking to it.

Hope you don't mind I ask, but do you work independently, a group practice, or for a "vertically integrated" medical plan like UPMC?

The price differences are insane. HMO "Level 1-2" for a spine specialist might bill the insurance $220-300, while a PPO will be billed up to $600, no less than $500.

Many people who clamor for "universal care" will almost unanimously dislike vertically integrated plans, even though that is the "universal system" found in places like Italy.

If you've already written somewhere would you please point me in the right direction?

I remember a previous ticker in which you talked about your local morgue, oops, hospital, and its statistics.

How did you go about finding those statistics and gaining access to such?

I have a need to look at a particular hospital.

from an article in Nature

''Their largest criticism was how his administration handled the pandemic. Joe Biden must be given an opportunity to restore trust in truth, in evidence, in science and in other institutions of democracy, heal a divided nation, and begin the urgent task of rebuilding the United States reputation in the world, the October 14, 2020 article stated. The article continued:

No US president in recent history has so relentlessly attacked and undermined so many valuable institutions, from science agencies to the media, the courts, the Department of Justice and even the electoral system. Trump claims to put America First. But in his response to the pandemic, Trump has put himself first, not America.

His administration has picked fights with the countrys long-standing friends and allies, and walked away from crucial international scientific and environmental agreements and organizations: notably, the 2015 Paris climate accord; the Iran nuclear deal; the United Nations science and education agency UNESCO; and even, unthinkable in the middle of a pandemic, the World Health Organization (WHO).

Well, the "Friends and allies" are a bunch of pussy parasite leech fucks that we helped create, fund and defend, so that doesn't bother me one fucking bit.

"Crucial international scientific and environmental agreements and organizations" depends entirely on POV; as long as I'm buying the beer I have lots of friends. Same with the agreements. As long as we pay the tab, someone else can dictate what they want us to do, because we've let them. If Trump said "fuck that", I'm OK with that, too.

Since the other organizations mentioned are all in it to fuck over other countries populations, loot their resources and rape/murder their kids, I'm OK with him telling them to fuck off too. The WHO seems to have proven themselves desirous of constant deep throating the CCP at the cost of the rest of civilization. So they can fuck off, too.

Still won't vote for Trump again though. Three time loser. Fuck him, too.
