Not happening. Nor will either Biden nor Harris be out of a job next year (99% certainty). The simple reason is the Democrats would lose control of the Senate immediately. It would go from 51-50 to 50-50 with no VP to break the tie.

In the 1% off-chance there is a vacancy, the Senate will simply delay filling it until after the midterms (i.e., "let the American people decide") should it occur after mid-year

If it happens before then, they will probably fill it with someone like Senator Tim Kaine from Virginia. With a Republican governor to fill that slot, it would keep the Senate out of Democrat control.
