Young poor whites (including hispanics who also notoriously have a gang problem) have a tenth the homicide rate of young blacks. These blacks don't need to work because of the welfare state. It doesn't matter if there were more jobs for them. Also remember that youth unemployment is much worse in Europe without this gun violence demographic.
