@SamAdams yeah exactly its not perjury or anything. At least not yet. This might keep some guns from those with IQ's below the 90's or extremely naive people but that's it.

Not a one of them would truly prevent or even ameliorate the tragedy at Sandy Hook. Karl couldn't be more right that if one is willing to commit a crime carrying the ultimate punishment (Death and/or life imprisonment) than the deterrent effect of additional felonies for firearms offenses is non-existent. Most of what these "gun control" measures do is make it more and more difficult for otherwise law abiding citizens to protect themselves whether from the criminals or the aspiring tyrants among us.

Hailing from CA and all I know its all about a "so-called progressive politician" being perceived as doing something about a problem and has not thing one to do with actually solving the problem.
