President Trump was AGAINST the lockdowns, but he apparently didn't know enough to fire bad people. The COVID Task-force, headed by Pence, was dominated by Deborah Birx, and SHE was the one who recommended the lockdowns. Trump didn't seem to have the gumption to publicly disagree with her.
