We have had no commitment to law for decades. Had we, post-911 would have been different and 2008 would have seen the too big to fail out of business instead of being bailed out, because that is what the law said should happen. Even more fundamentally we have been the empire of lies for most of my life. You can't fix anything if you don't recognize reality. No system can run beneficially or be improved if everyone is lying about everything, and that is what we are currently living with, with no repercussions for the liars. 2024-09-01 10:39:07
