I'm old. I remember the first "made in China" shirt I saw back in early 70s. A bunch of us were at a back yard barbeque and somehow one of the guys mentioned his shirt was Made in China. I commented it was impossible unless he bought it in Canada. I was just a dumb 22 year old who paid minimal attention to trade policies etc. He said nope he got it in the US. It made a huge impression on me at the time as I figured times were changing. Never forgot that incident.
