I got addicted after I bought my son amused 2002 bmw X5 for his 16th birthday in 2015. It could not pass emissions for me to register it, after paying a whole 4200$ for it. Determined, I bought a scanner off Amazon and figured out the issue after a few forums and BMD youtubes.
I was addicted after that. Cant fix this addiction and now own more than 10. Must sold more than 20. dont even track them.
Everyone I ever bought after has failed because of the engine or transmission.
everything here is so true, after taking out dozens of bmw engines and trannies and tearing them down. i get a high when I rebuild them and they purr like a kitten.
the bmw turbos are the worst. They have turbo failure when i bought them, and engine sometimes seizes at the rod bearing. the V8s are the worst.
