If Teslas overstate their mileage, I bet the .gov signed off on it. Tesla was their only way to push EVs onto the populace without outright coercion. Don't forget how much .gov money Musk has received. Don't forget the most important tool for ISIS was Toyota pick up trucks for mobility. This is a big stakes game.
