As usual, my hastiness to post a reply here to get'er done, requires a wasteful (time-wise) qualifier to where manias, that don't end in exhaustion, lead:

those destinations (much like drug addiction) are the loony bin, jail and the graveyard.

Given the choice, I'd rather sidestep it all from the get-go.
