I'm not a loner, definitely very social, just not nearly as much as I was 3 years ago. Being banned from my running club due to a lack of vaccination and told it was the "correct decision" by some of my running friends was an eye opening moment. Never change, be true to yourself. I'm not particularly religious and I know you aren't either TG, but the Book of Luke has an appropriate verse for people advocating you tune down your personality.
