I don't even need to approach a refutation of this based on historical events, if truth be told. No George Mason up through the Militia Act, or parsing JIT systems, or the Hepburn Act's deleterious effects on rail, ergo resilience. Look at the average American today. They're fat, lazy, and many are armed and would have ZERO ability to survive a few months. I don't need to bring up issues with ammo limits. Or the fact that many of them have the skills outside the range of a Wal-Mart greeter...not that there's ANYTHING wrong with said greeters. God bless them. Do you know how many ex-DoD contractors have war-gamed this very scenario since GWOT? Maybe I haven't made myself crystal clear in my last 14 years of articles and opinions. When I say that if we don't hold the perps accountable and right damn soon, and that we're potentially at a civilization ending cycle, I am dead serious.
