Yep, had a friend (pastor) who got the jabb because he and his wife want to travel. He says God told him that he would be protected from essentially "drinking poison".
It might be a good challenge to him to ask why he believes he will be protected from it if he is 1) collaborating with blatant evil; and 2) doing so for the pleasure of his own flesh, not the kingdom of God? James chapter 4:
Quote:
You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions. You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

Peter wrote that "judgment begins at the household of God." A shepherd needs to remain watchful, or he will be deceived and be a blind guide leading the blind and both will fall into a pit. "For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God."

Jesus points out our inclination to miss what is actually happening, even when it is right in our faces. "When it is evening, you say, 'It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.' And in the morning, 'It will be stormy today, for the sky is red and threatening.' You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times."

But "God told me" to partner with lawlessness so that I can fly into Babylon and marvel at her beauty? No, God told me to remain awake and sober, finding peace and security in him, not in the world. And to test everything.
  • "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world."
  • "For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect."
I encourage you to challenge your friend with the word of God. Jesus asked Peter, "Do you love me?" then, when Peter said yes, the answer was simple: "Feed my sheep." And if he doesn't think that pharmakeia is rooted in deception or that the vax is an idol, show him this picture as something of a litmus test for his soul:
