Attempts have either proved worthless or worse, original sin and pathogenic priming of some sort has shown up and killed or severely injured the animal(s) under test. RSV is another one; we've tried and had the same thing happen. Ditto for HIV. Why is there no HIV vaccine? Same reason; it doesn't work.
