What is happening is that some are walking away from their jobs rather than get the jab and others are succumbing to the pressure to put food on the table. I have a friend in health care who is being told that if she doesn't get the jab then she will have to wear a mask, have an id sticker on her badge regarding her vaccination status and get a COVID 19 test monthly. The hospital has told its employees that they have a right to ask for vaccination information and there is no HIPAA breach. She is looking for a lawyer but doesn't know where to turn. Does anyone here have any suggestions? She is not independently wealthy as to go about hiring an attorney and frankly it would be easier for her to simply quit. She had COVID in December 2020, so there is no reason for her to get the jab. Having had the virus does not count as immunity in the hospital's eyes - only the vaccine counts. The vast majority of the staff have gotten the jab and she is the strange one for questioning and refusing.
