People voted their representatives in on a local level. It is smart of the Chief of the Executive Branch of the Federal government to restrain from imposing his will unconstitutionally on State and local governments (notwithstanding his "emergency powers"). No one here would like it if a Democratic president treated this country like a kingdom. Let it play out. Let the people see how their local representatives handle things. And for goodness' sake, most presidents serve 8 years. Reserve your final judgments for 2024, and then condemn the man if you choose.
