"The bar to gain letters after your name, whether they be "BS", "MS" or "PhD" has dropped so low in the last 30 or so years that all said letter prove today is that you can pay the tuition and fees required."

As Karl said-those letters after a name are in no way indicative of thinking ability.

In my years of crusading I was sort of astonished on several occasions in different congressional offices when I was asked with what university I was a professor.

The misidentification was simply because I immersed myself in thousands of pages in books and documents and lectures that pertained to my subjects of interest. And I guess they thought I was-I'm cringing at the thought-an expert.

Degree disclaimer: I did dabble in college a bit but in no way approached a degree. The business dean confirmed it was all or nothing when I suggested I didn't need a degree, just wanted the business education sans all the non-business nonsense, 'cause I was going to work in the family firm. I said see ya...

As for voting, I too am done except local stuff, the deep state or the 1% of the 1%, or whatever rules over us does so in spite any voting we do. The *garbage* just goes on as usual, regardless of the person in the WH.

Most of the disappointment in presidential voting has been the few occasions when my candidate won.

I boycotted the first election I could vote because I thought the choice-Ford v. Carter-was an absurdity.

Several times I wrote in Frank Zappa, the musical composer.

The first winner I voted for was Reagan. I sort of knew better, the gig was up when *he* selected G.H.W. Bush as VP. The spending went up every year, drug war idiocy, the O'Neil fiasco (he should have shut the fucker down, like Slick Willie did), etc., soured me on him, 2nd term election was a write in for Zappa.

Next up, G.W. Bush, had a Hillary opposing him. In other words, Gore winning was too horrible to contemplate so I had to vote for W. 9/11 BS Patriot Act crap, war in Iraq, etc. 2nd term election-write in for Zappa.

And now, Trump. He's just a showman, playing his role. Hillary was his Trump card and it's been played...

WE, have been played too...

The direction of things, generally, has been steady as she goes, straight towards the iceberg...president after president, especially after JFK was JFKed.

Trump, at best and to be charitable, has done some admirable tinkering around the edges, but the iceberg of bullshit promises and lies looms straight ahead.

Plain fact is he could have done much via EO. He didn't do it. Promised to counter all the Obama EOs. Didn't do that either.

I'm done. Not even gonna write in a dead composer...

Time to check my zeros.
