I understand it all. Most of it is going to the hospital swamp. I think I can count 4 days I have spent in the hospital since I had my tonsils out in 1962. I'm 64. So, at $3k a year, that is $200K for my life, so far $50K a day I have spent. I may have more coming, or I might fall over dead, like a large number of people do.|
I'm surprised hospital costs are that low, to be honest. If health is $4 trillion, where is the other $3 trillion going? Are pharmaceuticals a Trillion? That still leaves $2 trillion. Out of the hospital, I haven't consumed $1000 in pharmacy in the 41 years I have been out of college. Maybe that will change, but that is less than a bottle of scotch a year. All cash.
Do they count nursing homes as medical care? I'm trying to figure out what brings us to these massive totals? Are people just guzzling pills?
in the meantime, a unique guitar act from these parts
