Good point.

Fractured bones in my feet 3X.
Fractured elbow (surgical repair).
Broken fingers. Lost count.
Draining inner ear (surgical).
Hernia.
Severed radial tendon and nerve, hand.
About a mile's worth of sutures.
Fractured ribs 3X.
Acute myocardial infarction.

3 of these there's nothing to be done for anyway. Wasted trip to hospital. Learning how to suture myself (I use glue now) has saved me a bunch of trips. So I'm down to 4 times when I really needed the hospital.

Basic first aid and CPR you learn in a couple hours. What comes in handier is the 120-odd hour (not counting ER rotations and ride-alongs) EMT certification course. Really comes in handy. You'll never be sorry.
