Good catch on the civil war tax issues, Karl, important aggravating circumstances behind the Civil War. Socialism creates a gap between buyer and provider which opens frequent and sundry opportunities for introducing avarice and abuse of both buyer and providers' needs and behaviors. Capitalism reduces that gap and thus is inherently less prone to avarice, to abuse. If you read back in Polybius' writings, voters for benefits don't just get lazy, they go crazy, too. 2014-03-07 07:38:17
