That was how they "hoped" you wouldn't notice @Mjeff87; you'd get knocked off or stuck in buffering, you come back and select "watch live" and it would go back to the place where you got stuck which is now 5 or 10 minutes behind and is on their content servers at the local headend.

Its an attempt at a clever dodge and "sort of works" until you realize what happened and scroll forward to "live" at which point you instantly get screwed AGAIN for the same reason.

In other words "no, we can't actually deliver it LIVE but we CAN get a stream (ONE!) down to each head end and our CDN can cache it, so if you play "catch up" it sort of works.... but its not what we sold you.

Clever boys and girls, but not what you sold people, and if they're not satisfied with that you get reamed by anyone who tries to actually watch it LIVE.
