MN had this issue not that long ago. The Hennepin County head of the public libraries moved to CA during covid and remote worked. He couldn't possibly visit the libraries and oversee his employees. Was making like 200k+ to sit at home. They finally got rid of him due to public outrage and the lack of supervision.
