@Redjack -- To be clear what i am advocating and i think that Karl is too is that religious groups STARTING NOW have their ceremonies and rites and the wedded couple do not obtain a county or municipal marriage license, permit or registration of any kind. This is how my family did it. We honored the Vows which we freely made, not some piece of paper or permission of the state and did what was personally necessary to deliver said notice to any agents of the system such as banks, ins companies, doctors and lawyers, etc. In fact we did a few workshops for other groups as to how to do this and get the state out of your marriage.

Even the Lutherans or R Catholics can start doing this TODAY.

It is no different than your Communion Rite being independent of any govt regulation or function.

I know my great grandparents did not ever get any sort of marriage license. I am not sure on my grandparents since they didn't have money for a big to do, and were married on a Sunday after service.

What is interesting is that in the Catholic church I know several people that DID get a church service but did NOT get a marriage license. Most are Hispanic, and were married in their home country. Most also then claim WIC for the kids and say they don't know who the father is.

Hell, my neighbor did the same in the Philippines, and they have been hitched for over 40 years. Makes insurance and taxes interesting I suspect.

After some thought on Ms Boebert, I can neither approve or disapprove her frisky conduct. While a public venue, I assume the lighting was quite dim when they got so handsy. What man hasnt coped a feel at an inappropriate moment? (It does look like a whole lotta coping) If I had been seated nearby and noticed, I would probably be amused and watching her more than the stage production. But Im kinda low class I suppose because I dont care much for musicals or even opera for that matter.

If it is night vision camera footage, we can presume it was pretty dark and likely no one would have noticed a few jerky movements - except if/when she had the audacity to start vaping during the performance, she was interfering with those in her proximity. And that seems to be what ultimately got her reported to the propriety police and the surveillance cam reviewed. Plus she was acting like an arrogant self important biatch which is repulsive on its own.

Of the 435 CONgress critters, I do well to keep up with my own local representative and still have a life. Andy Ogles (TN 5th District) aint perfect either but he appears to be taking a proper stand against the status quo. He hails from my hometown of Columbia TN. He and TN Rep Tim Burchett (also from TN) are on the short list of those in the way of revolving door CR bandaid approach to government appropriations.
