According to Whitney Webb the real handlers of Epstein and Maxwell is the guy that owned Victoria's Secret, Les Wexner.
Eric Weinstein did a video a few years ago on Jeffrey Epstein. He met him back in 2003 or so, and is convinced Epstein was an Intelligence resource. Quite an intriguing video.
At 8:20 is an introduction, then around 15 minutes he gets into Epstein, who he thinks is an "intelligence community construct".

When I was in school in Washington, AC/DC I needed a part time job to pay the rent and buy store brand tuna to eat. A friend suggested one as a guest escort at the CIA building. We took an aptitude test and filled out a questionnaire at a recruiting session. One of the questions was have you ever used illegal drugs. The CIA personnel guy pointed out that question and said that in that day and time they realized that a lot of people had tried drugs and they could write the type, number of occasions, and with whom the drugs had been used. Anyone who admitted such use and gave details set themselves and anyone they named up for potential blackmail. The CIA would give a polygraph to anyone they considered hiring. I didn't pursue the job any further.
A friend told me years ago that anyone who has a national office has something in their background that their sponsors can use to control them. Why invest money on a campaign for office if you can't control the candidate? I suspect that Black Jesus was/is owned by the CIA. Whatever records he had that were sealed are likely to contain material that could be used to control him.
How likely is it that if Epstein skated on a criminal charge in Florida that the IRS was given instructions to look the other way regarding his wealth and income? Wonder what he thought when he realized that his usefulness had ended?

Many of Dean Koontz's novels seem prophetic -- Dark Rivers of the Heart, for example, in 1994, featured "eye in the sky" government surveillance -- but the Jane Hawk pentalogy beats them all. Forced injections, mind control, an utterly evil FBI, a plutocratic elite allied with the national-security deep state, ubiquitous Big Tech/government surveillance, sex trafficking, an epidemic of suicides....
The fictional details differ from real life, but the recurring themes are all creepily familiar.
I read each book in the series as soon as it came out, in 2017-19. Not long after, when the vaxx mandates started, I was getting such powerful deja vu flashbacks to the Jane Hawk series that I wondered if Koontz actually does know an insider or two in the deep-state apparatus.
I'm disappointed that more people have not read this book series. It's some of Koontz's best work. It had an extremely powerful effect on me. Especially the whole forced-injection theme, which was a huge element of the story. Indeed, if a Venn diagram could be made of those who read this series before 2020 and those who submitted to the vaxx, I'd be willing to bet that the intersection/overlap of those two groups would be vanishingly small if not nil.
Clinton was a major player from the beginning. Groomed and went to Oxford, Governor of Arkansas in the 1980s, which at that time was the drug running hub for the CIA.
Who knows how they pick these people in college when they aren't already part of the nepotism club, or 'old' American money like the Bushes. Rumor is that Obama's mother was CIA, for instance.

@Heartlander that's on my list but I hadn't got to it yet. Got soooooo many books on the "to read" pile that I own. I have heard it's good though. Dark Rivers of the Heart was a terrifying read and it came out how long ago? Sadly my copy got lent out but I read it half a dozen times first at least.
So, is the government going to investigate itself since the government itself is responsible for criminal investigations? If the government isnt going to do it, what entity will investigate and prosecute?

The way Epstein made is money is quite simple. It is understood that he ran a hedge fund, and those funds until recently charged 2% of assets under management plus 20% of the profits.
Epstein gets a rich guy on his plane or island, videotapes them having sex with child/teen/man/person-other-than-wife, and asks for some money to manage. Epstein invests said funds in S&P Index funds, and gets paid. You need no investment management overhead to do this.

@Rollformer that Epstein guy managed Les Wexner's money, but only for a while and he already apparently had some. That doesn't explain all of his money, or the island. I'm reminded of "LA Confidential" the film (also I hear a book but I never read it) where a local porn producer has photos taken of politicians and his hookers to use as leverage.

@Heartlander The Jane Hawk series had a profound effect on me as well. The story was entertaining, but I read each page with an almost palpable dread. Something about it just rang true despite some of the more fantastical elements. Then 2020 came along.
That work of fiction combined with Karl's research and writing were the two biggest factors in my refusal to get the shot or allow any of my family to do so.
When my employer threatened get jabbed or lose your job. When I was told i couldn't travel or attend a concert. When I was told we would have a winter of death. My rational brain focused on the studies, research, and reasoning our host here brought to light. My lizard brain just kept thinking of the Jane Hawk series. It was an effective combo.

Perhaps the risk/benefit scale tipped too much toward risk. Maybe hubris. Maybe he had gotten too full of himself, thought he was untouchable, and pushed his boundaries too far.
Maybe someone he had no power over realized what he was accomplishing through blackmail that was harming them. Maybe someone he was blackmailing figured out his dead man switch/deactivated his threat and smashed him like a bug.

My theory on why this got going is a like Rollformer says that Epstein had an income generating activity which also gave him access to very wealthy through networking.
He also had a personal preference sexually, namely young girls. His initial interest was demonstrated through his employment in a school for them.
He is living the life and perhaps sets up other more modest private places to do his thing, and through his network attracts others so inclined. There are clubs of guys which get into certain things of this nature. They find each other rather easily.
After a while some rich guys have him setup other locations and later the main location, the island, for their club with their funding.
When people get into some off-color stuff and have a lot of freedom through resources, they get kind of blinded to the implications and can sometimes take on a mentality that it is normal, routine and everyday affair. The mind does this to people.
Finding young women to participate is not that difficult and has occurred in other risque venues for decades. There is a way that it happens, so mundane as to give one chills, thus i will not describe it. Plus, will not make it easier for someone. However, anyone who has seen the scene in a big city with modeling, university, clubs, agents, broke girls and savvy girls and their networks and indiscretions, i think that you get the idea, knows generally how it happens.
The sad, evil part of this is how mundane it truly might be in its origins and ultimate form.
This parallels how the classic Playboy lifestyle and clubs evolved and then got a little too far off the reservation. I personally think that this crowd was setting up their own Playboy resort of their own design and then started taking it too far without the safeties which the original Playboy lifestyle clubs had in their early days due to the public and open nature of their business model. This thing of Epstein and Co was private and exclusive from the start which always increases the speed at which something will go to far and places it should not which of course it did.
