Let's start: It sucks that Hamlin is probably long-term, permanently fucked.  But it is likely that he is, and the glad-handing face people have been playing is a lie.  That lie has now at least in part been admitted to by no less than the Associated Press.

Damar still requires oxygen and is having his heart monitored regularly to ensure there are no setbacks or after effects,” Jordon Rooney said. “Though he is able to visit the team’s facility, Damar is not in position to travel often, and requires additional rest to help his body heal.”

So he was not "discharged and is recovering normally."

Three weeks after his cardiac arrest live on national TV, the cause of which has not been disclosed but we know factually it was not Commotio Cordis as he had a pulse when the team medics got to him and lost it afterward (incidentally we know that reporting has to be true because otherwise nine minutes would have passed without circulation and he'd be dead) where is disclosure of what caused the heart attack?

And why does he still require supplemental oxygen; room air is, by this report, not enough.  Never mind that it appears they don't believe his heart rhythm is stable either.

Don't give me any bullshit about how they don't know.  A healthy young man who is that size of an investment to the both the NFL and the Bills, and has gone through a rigorous physical exam prior to being signed isn't going to go into the hospital with a near-fatal heart attack that had it happened in his house he would have been dead with near-100% certainty, come back out and nobody knows why it happened.

That's utter and complete crap and if you believe that you're a blind, vapid NPC.

Now if this was ordinary Joe I'd say heh, its his business.  But no -- Hamlin has been paraded around as some sort of hero and the NFL altered the games and the outcomes of the remaining contests in the playoffs -- to the benefit of some, and the detriment of others.  That makes this whole thing public, which incidentally is part of the deal when you become an NFL player and said prowess in the field and strutting around for the camera is why they pay the players all that money.  As such it's also reasonable to expect that when said player does a thud on the field and the league not only cancels the game, something they have not done before or since even for really serious injuries where people have been carried off on backboards, we damn well ought to have an answer as to what happened.

Especially when the obvious potential cause is not only on every fan's mind it is also on every other player's mind.

Needing supplemental oxygen at three weeks post-event for a young man in excellent physical condition is not a sign that there is no permanent damage and he is on the road to a full recovery.  Quite to the contrary; it is fairly good evidence that he's not coming back to football, ever, and may never be able to engage in any sort of strenuous activity again.

Proof?  No, but pretty damn good evidence.

In the meantime you're still not willing to face reality, are you?

One in 5,000 to one in 50,000 you say is what the CDC claims to be the risk of myocarditis and associated injury?  "Very rare", right?

That's funny: There's apparently a study out of Puerto Rico showing high double-digit rates of objective cardiac damage.  And another one out of Thailand.  And another out of our military showing, once again, high double-digit rates of objective markers of cardiac injury.  The first and third are not public (gee, I wonder why) but the second one is.

So "best case" is nearly 30% of the people who got the shots are screwed to at least some degree and two other studies had almost-identical results, one in the general population and the second among young, very healthy individuals -- members of the military, both approaching or at a 70% risk of objective cardiac harm.

When two unrelated groups of people run two studies on the same thing across two different populations who are wildly different in their medical history and personal health, in two different places, looking for a common element that came from something both groups did and they get nearly the identical result if you don't instantly sit up at full attention you're crazy.

How 'ya feeling America?  That's just one side effect, you know, and we're well-aware that there are a bunch of others that have been reported too.

SEVEN OUT OF TEN?  THIRTY TO SEVENTY PERCENT?  Yeah, I'm sure the amount of damage varies widely but cardiac damage does not heal in virtually every case.  That damage is permanent.  You're stuck with it for life and whatever it brings, whether the damage manifests as a small limitation in your physical exercise capacity or results, now or down the road, in cardiac arrest.

How do you like those odds and how do you feel about the con job that, it certainly appears, was run on you?   Would you have taken the jabs if you had knowledge of any, say much less all three, of those studies?  How about Trump still taking credit for "warp speed" which, I remind you, deliberately short-circuited the ordinary and expected testing that we've used for decades to qualify medications so you didn't know about them as they hadn't been run and published yet.

What do you say to those of us who warned that without running down what was a plausible mechanism of harm that could lead to exactly this outcome, with said warnings issued before the mass-jabbing actually got under way and in fact original pre-prints dated back into December of 2020 before basically anyone had received them -- and who were poo-pooed, called conspiracy theorists, ostracized, it was claimed we should be held down and forcibly jabbed, many argued for us to be imprisoned, many were fired from their jobs, denied entry into sporting events, restaurants, and concert venues and some of us were even assaulted despite published evidence that the potential for said risk was there.

Would you like to read my article from 2021 before mandates were imposed?  Here it is, just so you can't say "nobody told us."  I sure as Hell did and so did others -- in the first half of 2021.

Oh, and about all those ads that have run for the last two years on every television station, all the radio stations, all the social media, the blackballing of all of us who raised the alarm (indeed I still have a "search block" on my handle on Twitter) and indeed even your local grocery store was probably running ads for these damned things -- at least here they were (Kroger) right up until this week when they magically disappeared from my local store.  I have not seen or heard one warning about adverse effects in one of these ads.

Where's the "You were right, we were wrong, we were stupid to listen to {insert whoever}, we apologize and if we are fucked its our fault and sole personal responsibility for listening to that bullshit and it will remain our fault if we don't force accountability, both civil and criminal, against those who misled not just America but the entire world."

Yeah, that's what I thought.

Everyone in our family outside of my wife, our children and me got their first shots in early 2021. My dad, previously heathy, has since passed from bladder cancer that, when diagnosed was already in stage 4 and consumed his body in less than 18 months. Some of you already knew this.

That said, my mother is one of those who will not acknowledge their mistake, nor will she admit there is even a small chance the shot caused his cancer. She even refuses to discuss it. Why? Because she simply can't live with the thought that any day she and the rest of her family might go thud sooner rather than later. She's told me this, and she has made the conscious choice to sweep it all under the rug.

Doesn't mean she doesn't think about it. But she, and all the others, will never admit their mistakes to us (the unjabbed) because that would mean they would have to live in fear every moment of the rest of their lives.

I still think Damar is dead. No video of him, no proof.

I pushed myself yesterday, 3 mile at zone 4 effort in the middle of a warmup and cool down. About a mile into the harder stuff, I thought of how many people in the world, doing what I was doing, a mid 50s man, picking up the pace to get ready for the spring racing schedule, would spend the entire ru wondering if they were gonna die without any warning.

Welcome to the new normal.

I coach high school track, one of our runners is now under the care of a cardiologist. Some kind of anamoly on an ECG/EKG. Nobody asking the obvious, but I sure am thinking it.

I know from experience that when you do CPR on someone, the subject can, and often does vomit. If he had just hydrated, and eaten recently, he could have vomited and aspirated. That can produce some pretty wicked lung damage.

That is true @Tappedout.... never had to do CPR on someone in anger but that's one of the things you're told is likely to happen.

Thanks for writing on this. The entire narrative with Hamlin has been farcical from the start. The NFL does insult even the stereotypical retarded fan's intelligence. They had a full marketing merchandise campaign ready immediately on this dude's (not quite) corpse. I am supposed to believe he is tweeting inspiring messages aplomb and going to the facilities when not one shred of video has been seen/shared. My tin penchant has had me half believing the dude was dead and they would let us down gently after the season. The most likely case is what they are slowly leaking out that he's severely disabled.

I agree. My bet is that Damar is on life support and a bunch of people needing organ transplants are on standby until the day after the super bowl

Thanks for writing on this!

I also smell a rat. If his heart was stopped from the sudden shock of impact, it should have been able to be immediately restarted and life goes on.

Neither my wife nor I have gotten any of the shots, even though I got fired from my then-job because I refused, and it wasn't even health care related.

One of my aunts had to have a kidney removed because of a cancerous tumor that came out of nowhere. It's not something that runs in the family. She got the shot.

I'm not sure if people have heard about it, but there's an interesting movie out there,

What makes that movie even more interesting is that the filmmaker is someone who believed everything initially said about the shots, and dutifully got hers.

The attitude of the news media today is like that Chico Marx quote from Duck Soup, "Who you gonna believe, me or your own eyes?"

And, from "Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds," "Men think in herds, so they go mad in herds, and only regain their sanity slowly, and one by one.

@Tappedout - I have had to do cpr in real time. In the old style where breathing mouth to mouth was done. Luckily I had the chest and the nurse was doing mouth to mouth. The patient started to vomit so she cleared the airway and went back to work then she started to vomit. What a damn mess.

The patient didn't make it. That was a average night. Sort of a personal corner of Hell. A Cardiology/Oncology/Hematology ward.

It's been a bad year the next one will probably be worse.

Yeah there is one picture of damar with somebody that they said came from inside the locker room. But no video and everywhere I searched it was always the same picture

My mother, 4 shots, had a stroke in December, blood clot in her brain, we saw her cardiologist today and the nurse said "how did that happen? how can you possibly have a blood clot on plavix(blood thinner for blood clots) and aspirin?"

Yeah it's a mystery lady.

A friend, retired doctor triple vaxx but realized that not all is that it seemed about a year ago and has not gotten another one has just gotten diagnosed with parsonage turner syndrome. Very rare very painful. Her doctor told her it was from having covid which she had a few months ago. It took me 2 seconds to find a link to the vaccines.

There is a world of difference between a small chance of something good happening vs. something bad. 1 in 300,000,000 chance winning lottery is just a bit of fun. Who would get on a plane if the risk of crashing was 1 in 50,000 let alone 1 in 5,000? This risk is for a disease not much more dangerous than flu for Omicron at least and the non-vaccine doesn't stop you catching or spreading Covid. Millions of us know the jabs are dangerous but I'm not sure that will ever be publicly acknowledged. I hope I'm wrong.

Tapped out: "If he had just hydrated, and eaten recently, he could have vomited and aspirated."

Do footballers eat right before a game? And we SAW Hamlin stand up after the tackle, start to step back, and then collapse. I would assume the medical guys on the field know --as does any ambulance worker (been one, been there) -- to be careful to clear the airway and AVOID causing vomiting by incorrect hand placement.

And IF, as they said -- just a couple days later he was sitting up and texting and wishing he 'were in the locker room with the guys'... seems unlikely he serious lung damage. I'm on the "he's dead, Jim" team.

My money is on materially-impaired cardiac capacity and the supplemental oxygen is an attempt to prevent him from decompensating from the myocardial damage. Supplemental oxygen at a low flow rate is a pretty-common mitigation and that they're also monitoring his heart points this way as well.

You can run inspired FiO2s on a modestly enhanced level (up to about 50%) without taking pulmonary damage; a low rate cannula doesn't bump it up all that much but even a few points over 21% helps a fair bit with oxygenation.

If that's anywhere close to correct the idea that he's going to "recover" from this is flat-out bullshit. Survive it, perhaps, at least for a while. But ever be able to do so much as mow his own lawn walking behind a lawn mower? Nope.

I'll bet everyone in the club has been warned that if a single picture of him shows up anywhere with a tube up his nose towing a bottle of oxygen they're fired and if they have a contract its going to be torn up and the pieces burnt.

The difference between "kill" and "murder" is that murder, as a subset of kill, is undeserved by the deceased.

If Hamlin is on O2 and also still has an irregular rhythm I bet he's been confined to a wheelchair. Just walking would elevate his heart rate. If there is enough damage then there is a higher heart rate number that will kill him.

This guy is very likely dead man walking.

The NFL league office and the Buffalo Bills management seriously needs to be destroyed with fire smiley
I suspect the script is already been written in favor the feel good of the Bills winning it all other playoff teams be damned. I watched the game against the Dolphins a team playing with a 3rd string QB that they barely beat and you could see the breaks they were getting. The NFL is now the WWE without the honesty or the humor.

If there is ANY chance of the truth coming out it will come from someone associated with the Cincinnati Bengals-the team most screwed by the leagues decisions. There might be someone among the organization pissed enough to not give a fuck what the NFL would try to do to them.

We shall see how many sudden retirements there are after the Super Bowl. I will be waiting with smiley

I think the heart problems are overwhelming the others ones (IgG4, etc.) for now, but I wouldn't be surprised to see other adverse effects emerge in a statistically significant way later this year.

We already know that IgG4 dominance is occurring. We just don't know yet what that means. I could take a guess though....

Interesting information about his condition when he was attended to on the field. It's not widely discussed in the sports world, they are still fixated on who gave the order to keep playing...

You can aspirate for somewhere around 6 hours for food and 2 hours for water. All it takes is some water mixed with your stomach acid to do damage to your lungs. Players are well hydrated prior to and during games. I'm no doctor but o2 and heart monitoring seems a little drastic for lung issues in a young man. I have yet to hear anything about bacteria pneumonia, which is fairly common for those who aspirate stomach contents into the lungs.

Last weekend was very odd compared to the last week of the regular season (the week after Hamlin went down). There were minimal mentions of Hamlin outside for a pretty much generic statement about him being at home and at the Bills facility recovering. The week before the broadcasts/players were euphoric and celebrating the 'miracle'.

I don't think he is dead and they are covering, that seems extreme, however there are no images of him at the Bills facility to be found, which seems odd. If we don't see him for an inspirational spot during the Super Bowl perhaps this void of images and decent information is larger than I think it currently is...

The spending must continue, until it can't.

Tonight's CBS version of the Ministry of Truth briefly mentioned Damar's "remarkable recovery" but showed no photos. No photos likely means bad news for Damar. They did mention that he was being given supplemental oxygen. The recovery doesn't sound so remarkable. I wouldn't doubt that the ambulance taking him home becomes involved in a fatal (to him) accident or maybe his home burns downed and he dies in the conflagration. Anything will do to avoid the bad press for being vexxined as a cause of death.

I am so tired of the constant and incessant lying about everything. It was apparent that he was not back to normal when there were no public videos and only a couple of pictures. I get the scary psychology for the masses that were duped to admit it to themselves, but they are still officially pushing this crap. It not only needs to be completely stopped, many need to be punished, and we need to prevent all the new products they are trying to rush out there.
