Locally, its said if an illegal gets pulled over they do get a "ticket", but it's for something not driving related, like seatbelt or illegal parking.
And they pay to avoid warrants.
Like a "working tax", and as its said, most illegals are from places where paying off the locals is normal.

@Thelazer, I stayed in a motel several years ago west of Bristol, TN and it was as clean as any I have spent the night in. The maids were white locals. Don't tell me that Americans won't work or only do a half-assed job.

I stayed in an awful lot of hotels around here in a couple of years before I bought this house and somehow all the maids could speak English. Go figure.

Florida is terrible for uninsured motorists and its hardly limited to illegals. My vehicle was totaled by someone who fit the definition of poor white trash. Insurance company sent me a letter they are going after her but it will undoubtedly be like getting blood from a stone.

Virginia was no better (hit by an uninsured driver there too-lucky me). A regional park there (Bull Run) started checking drivers licenses at the entrance due to uninsured illegals wrecking in the park. A small solution that show even counties have the capacity to address some of these problems.

When I moved here they fucked up the paperwork and threatened me repeatedly because my insurance had been canceled there (by me.) No, really? I didn't live there anymore! Well, I hadn't wrecked -- but they do know immediately whenever someone DOES cancel, and they DO check when you get your tag renewal electronically. So if you have a tag and its value you HAD insurance when you got it. If you cancel it they know that and threaten to cancel the plate AND suspend your license. Get caught driving THEN and you're supposed to go to jail as a suspended license is a "see the judge" deal.

Well, they don't do it. If they did UI coverage would be cheap, but they don't.

In other words DeSATAN could stop this shit instantly, but he hasn't, has he? Well, will he do the same thing here?

When I was getting my degree [NMSU], I lost count of how many times I heard something akin to "I can't wait to get my degree and move outta here!" -- There's no reason that we can't have the [e.g. tech] industry here to earn a good living. Metalqueen, I had something similar happen here in Tucson. Rear ended by illegals in what looked like a construction truck. Right after I was hit (hard) and I got out to inspect everything, I counted six jumping from the truck and running in every direction. I tried to grab the keys out of the ignition, but the driver put it in gear and hauled ass. It was dark enough that I couldn't get the license plate, so I got screwed. On top of the usual trash that drive around uninsured, we get to deal with the illegal uninsured too.

On a bright note, my son is staying in the state after graduation. He just got a job as an engineer in Silver City. It's not manufacturing but still. And he turned down a chance to move to Colorado for it.
