 You're Going To Get Robbed

Your best retirement option, and one that was common eighty to a hundred years ago is to invest in the company that you, yourself own and control, perhaps a shared ownership with people of like mind. And work it until you die, after training a series of people through an understood process of succession.

Investment professionals can't make money off of something they don't control; you set your own course, you are the master of your destiny. You fuck up and you pay for it.

All powerful motivators that resulted in the temporary success of many civilizations until they grew too fat and lazy to do the right thing, and instead did what was easy.

Another racket. The West has become a racket of rackets and skimming operations.

And there will be a small group who will do very well under this ESG legislation.

As for the Ticker. I took my ball and went home late last year. I have no intention of rejoining the game. Cash and very short term trades are all that my portfolio will see until I draw my last breath. It is amazing and quite satisfying how quickly Mrs. Stoic and I have become non-consumers. It wasn't as hard as we thought that it would be.

ESG is just another step on the road to CBDCs. They're coming for your cash, so it's probably not a good idea to be complacent.

How do they square this with this portion of ERISA?

I suppose they don't 'cause feelz and stuff. Come on man, you know the thing!

They don't @Sonoran_monk -- that's the point of the article.

They in fact now allow people to violate that, which has been the law for a long time, and gave you standing to sue.

Not anymore.

@Stoic Yes, I told them why I wasn't donating. Same thing for the Salvation Army after they had classes about how all white people were racist. I don't think they paid attention because both organizations keep sending solicitations. I wrote Coca-Cola after their "try to be less white" seminars and got no reply. I've not bought their product since.

If an investment fund has other causes than increasing your wealth, then their focus isn't entirely on you and they are derelict in their duties.

Nice thing is that ESG is a great big sign to intelligent people as to what to avoid in a variety of situations. Perhaps it even illustrates short term potentially profitable scamming opportunities.

Kind of like when females would tell me about their social beliefs. They were helping to exclude themselves from long term mate possibility without me having to do much investigation.

How do they negate federal legislation with an administrative rule? Why bother with legislation at this point? I guess they don't.

I made a comment on another board close to 20 years ago.

That comment was the US of A is over the cliff; there is no coming back; its just a matter of how hard we hit the ground.

It is appearing every day the ground is turning into granite.

Anyone taking this tacy would have fit well in the Japanese Air Force 80 years ago. ESG is national suicide. These assholes really believe they are going to get anything other than a middle finger frome the Chinese? I would guess the Russians would love another 3 degrees warming. Anyone ever notice how much of the world's land mass is in cold areas?

In other news, oil was down, supposedly on threats to cap Russian oil prices. How bad do these people want to take it in the ass? Russia will just pull enough oil off the market to blow that up and they will be bidding $150 a barrel for what is left. Woke needs to go to sleep, for the rest of eternity.

Oh yes.

They are just getting warmed up too.

US is getting like Britain and Europe.

They force pension funds to allocate a certain percentage of their resources to government bonds here.

They will be forcing allocations to ESG soon enough. Just wait.

It's coming down the pike.

They will start taxing shares with a high "carbon emitting" score and give incentives to invest in "green" companies such as low capital gains tax etc.

These scum bags won't stop because people are just taking it up the rear and are begging for more.

Until enough people realize we are at war with these degenerates it's not going to end.

"You will get screwed out of trillions of dollars over the coming years as a result of this andyou are responsible for that screwing becauseyou have and continue to permit this sort of rank corruption to take place without demanding it stop and backing up that demand with whatever is necessary to eliminate it."

There seems to be some misunderstanding. I am not permitting anything, these things are being done without my consent.

I am likewise not consenting to the mass violation of our border sovereignty, and I don't have the power to do anything more to stop that, than I do to stop the 'ESG' rule referenced above.

Unless I am mistaken, of course, which is always possible.

What can I do, as an individual, that is LAWFUL, with regard to "demanding it stop and backing up that demand with whatever is necessary to eliminate it"?

Ive been responding to "friends" who ask my advice on investments with keep your powder dry, assess how the raving headlines about inflation really effect you and rationalize what your expectations are really.

If you are in debt, likely you got in at an historically ridiculously low rate so dont squander the benefit.

At our age its mostly medical care and food. If food becomes a problem (see guns). You live south? You dont need to worry about freezing to death, no fuel to cook (see guns) I personally moved our (barely) 7 figure IRA to laddered insured CDs. My last tranche was a three year earning 6.25

If so, why not get out of them and go with self-direct ROTH instead?

"Well since what they're doing isn't lawful....."

Very true, but one of the many things which distinguishes me from them is that when they so something unlawful, which is all the time, neither regular law enforcement (police) nor the military do anything about it. Their oaths to protect and defend... basically anything, but certainly the Constitution... don't mean anything to them.

It is here that the two-tiered just-us system reveals itself.

If We the People do anything even the least bit unlawful, these same law enforcement (and military) are just looking for an excuse to dress up in their favorite SWAT or battle gear and stage a pre-dawn raid at your home. Or at a former president's home, even.

So there's no equivalence, no equal justice under law, there is no Rule of Law at all, there is only Rule of Man, which is Might Makes Right, and currently, "Might" rests securely with the police and the military and all their many implements of destruction.

They do "unlawful" every day, all day long, it's who they are, or at least who they've become. But if you (or I) do anything unlawful to back up the "demand" that they stop being unlawful, that essentially becomes a suicide mission. And suicide is not an effective means of backing up any demand that they stop being unlawful. At least not from the perspective of the person committing suicide.

Therefore it seems a better plan may be required. Something along the lines of a group effort might be helpful. A big group.

Real big.

If the group was big enough, then simply going on strike would shut down the entire country. No marches necessary, no travel, no 'target' for the jackboots. Everybody just stays home. Barely any inconvenience at all, which means no one has an excuse not to participate.

It would be entirely lawful, and peaceful, and it renders their only credible threat, their capacity for the use of force, irrelevant. Moot. Because they can't arrest everybody, or even a small percentage of everybody, and with no 'target' (i.e., mass demonstrations), they can't even arrest *anybody*.

Everything just grinds to a halt.

So there's an idea for a start.

I love it!!! The ice cold schadenfreude tastes delicious!

I WANT the people who support this garbage to feel the full impact of their warped world view on their wallets and pocketbooks - by all means invest with a woke fund.

I'm unaffected but if these assholes scream "I want a do-over!" then the gubmint might make these sheeple whole again at the taxpayers' expense but by then the currency won't be worth much and I don't have that many years to worry about it (I'm 65).

Speaking of which, I had my first Medicare 'wellness visit' this week with my primary care doctor who asked if I had gotten the Covid toxxine as well as the flu and pneumonia shots. I answered tersely 'no' and he didn't pry further or suggest that I specifically get one or all though he pointed out that I'm at the age where the shots are more important. It was all I could do not to tell him I'll never get a 'vaccine' or shot again after witnessing the crimes against humanity committed by Pfizer, Moderna, CDC, FDA et al including the entire medical establishment. I did provide him with a sheet of paper showing, among other things, my anti-Covid and anti-flu supplement protocol and he saw it but said nothing (I didn't label the list specifically). I didn't tell him I scored a four year supply of Ivermectin and am taking a 12 mg pill as a preventative once every 2 weeks because FUCK HIM, he didn't bother to read the small stack of printed articles I brought to show him in 2021 as to why the toxxines were dangerous - he glanced through them for 20 seconds, handed them back and with his eyes roaming around and muttered something about conspiracists on the Internet. I have tried to find a local doctor who is supportive but they all seem to be hiding to avoid getting terminated. Oh yeah, my eye clinic, dentist and the doctors office all require you to wear masks and when I asked why they still do as even the CDC admits cloth masks are useless they said the hospital group requires it. Well FUCK THEM too.

And he asked me a Medicare supplied question as to whether I wore seatbelts and I said 'Not inside'!. FUCK Medicare.

Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving to all. I'm doing oven roasted prime rib with oyster stuffing and grilled asparagus, following by a scratch pumpkin pie with vanilla ice cream (or Cool Whip) on top, followed by a vintage port, a Fonseca 1994. I retired in 2003 but before that I discovered port and laid in a supply to last my lifetime and I still have 30 bottles left. I open a bottle twice a year, I hope to last long enough to enjoy them all with family and friends. I have to keep reminding myself that no matter how bad it's getting out there I still have a life and to enjoy whatever I am able to, the foremost being with people I care about.
