The best hope for America is a national divorce. Let the marxists starve in the dark.

A national divorce will be no less violent than a civil war of annihilation. The non-Whites will never allow us to live without them, because they cant live without us. Immigration and internal migration have demonstrated this for centuries.

They want us as their slaves.

@Ingar said "The best hope for America is a national divorce. Let the marxists starve in the dark."

Honestly secession isn't even needed for this. The red areas could simply stop sending supplies to the blue cities. The blue cities are like parasites sucking the host dry, but the host can turn off the blood supply for most items if they want to.

I listened to most of Trumps event last night out of curiosity. Same content as 2020, with an attempt at humility ("it's not my campaign, its all of ours ") and no mention of the "Big Beautiful Vaccine". He still reads like a toddler, and only shows life when he goes off script.

I voted for him 3x - primary, 2016, and 2020 - purely on the theory that he would either make some major positive changes or blow the whole mess up and I was ok with either outcome.

He did neither. At this point for me it is not even his meanness and braggadoccio (which I dislike) - it is that I don't trust him to either fix things or blow it all up. All he does is talk, and talk isn't going to fix this mess.
He is also a terrible judge of character in his appointees. At least half of them were backstabbers and another 25% weren't competent.

The narcissism was tolerable for me when there was hope that either a fix or an explosion was a possibility. Now it is just extremely tiresome, and even more distasteful when aimed at people who aren't as bad (DeSantis, Youngkin) as other obvious targets.

As for Kari Lake - I loved watching her eviscerate the press but my BS detector always has detected something plastic in her that made me not trust her. Better than Hobbs? For sure. Any kind of genuine and sincere populist leader? I have my doubts.

Victor Davis Hanson, who is always worth reading, has this to say about Der Trumpster:

He also mentions the guy I favored in '15, Scott Walker, who bowed out of the race early on when he realized he did not have a chance then. I like Scott Walker much more than DeSantes and hope he runs again in '24. I prefer DeSantes to Trump. But I do not trust him at all.

One is partisan. Trump utterly destroyed the 30-year Clinton grifting and quid pro quo machine in general, and Hillary Clintons endless and often toxic political career in particular. It was characterized by the despicable Uranium One sale, the foreign shake-down contributions to the Clinton Foundation, her destruction of subpoenaed emails and devices, and her blatant violation of State Department rules of personal communications.

Oh, he did? Really? You mean the exact same grifting machine that ran a shit-ton of money through Ukraine and back into the Democrats through FTX?

The only issue I care about is eventually exposing dangers of giving untested drugs to hundreds of millions of people. Lying about the drug. Covering up dangers. Total propaganda to a level Hitler would be proud of. It can't be allowed to happen again especially the mandates which had an extraordinary level of coercion. We know it will never happen with any Democrat as they believe in controlling what individuals do. Trump thinks warp speed was his greatest achievement so fuck him. I don't trust DeSantis but at least he occasionally says something negative about jabs/mandates even if he's a weasel and doesn't follow through. At least there's a chance (like dumb and dumber movie 😂). DeSantis is also not ancient has some charisma so might get votes. I don't see anyone else who would have a chance in 2024.

Trump makes the whipped beta males feel good. Has been the source of his appeal since his days in NYC. One has to know a little about the outer borough crowd in NYC to really understand him as the archetype for them and apparently the rest of them in the greater country.

Here is a primer: see pathetic, then add contemptible to the mix. Explains him perfectly.

As far as I can tell, the federal budget is still full of pork and foreign aid which is really just legalized laudering of US tax payer money to the DC elite's, their families, their friends and 10% for the Big Guy.

Nothing has changed.

Trump or no Trump, it's over.

The Overton Window is real folks. Learn it. Then you will understand.

The only way for repubs to win is to appeal to enough women and minorities to get them very slightly over the top in select key states. Who is going to do that? The popular vote overall is permanently, irrevocably blue. You can't compete against "FREE!!" and eternal woke, ephemeral issues. And single women will always vote left. And there are going to be a shit ton more of them in the future. They will never be married. Deservedly so. Then throw in the hive-mind karen soccer mom hordes.

Now the youth are coming up, and they are decidedly and overwhelmingly woke and marxist. When you were young, parents and teachers tried to corral and contain your stupidity. Actually TEACH you to grow the fuck up.

Now breeders and leftist teecherz do the exact opposite, they feed and encourage all manner of depravity, stupidity, idiocy, etc. These kids won't mature, as they were never properly taught. This is why you have the student loan debacle. And no end in sight to woke fuckery.

Last election it was "abortion". The one prior to that was "waycism". The next one will be for (fill in the blank). My guess is trannys or pedos, or gun rights. Who knows. Who cares.

Combine that with de facto open borders and motor voting, drop boxes, no ID, etc. You are being subjected to a marxist takeover, and your offspring will in no wise enjoy the levels of freedom that you did. But you will keep your abortions, so that is good news.

The main reason I will vote Republican on a national level is for the secondary effects, so to speak. Like judges and such. Your first and second amendments are increasingly on life support. Only a few more judges in key spots and they will disappear. Life gets worse really fast once those are gone. I need not have to tell you much of the federal gov are decidedly anti-American leftists. The IRS, FBI, DOJ are all infested with people who despise you unless you are a neocon, globalist or leftist. Not to mention the entire MSM hates you as well.

It's over folks. There will be no "epiphanies" or awakenings from the masses. You are pissing up a tree if you think there will be. Math is math. You can only hope to slow the inevitable. Or sit back and watch the crash. But make no WILL be affected.

The only worthwhile thing for this bag of shit is to become a martyr - a dead one - to galvanize what few braincells are left to the party.

Hopefully it happens before the mudslinging starts. He stroke out so his fingers and mouth cannot move. This man is poisonous to the republic.

Trump and Biden are Case Exhibits A and B for why I prep. So long as America remains infatuated with old farts living in a bygone era, I will continue to do so (prep).

According to Strauss and Howe in the Fourth Turning, the Nomads (Gen X) had one job, and that was to tell the Prophets (Boomers) to sit down and STFU before they blow up the world, and to unite the Heroes (Millennials).

We failed and IMHO I failed.

I don't think it's gonna matter, although I agree with your premise about the motivations of the Collectivists.

Once Washington gets its war with either Russia, China, OPEC, or domestics, they'll have wars with all of them. Colin Powell said about 20+ years ago that even back then, America could not project force on multiple fronts with multiple major powers. Playing in sandboxes doesn't count.

What I can't figure out is how greed has so blinded Washington on both sides of the aisle that they can't see this truth for what it is. Instead of backing down and relinquishing some power, they push even harder. There aren't enough bunkers or private islands to hide from the foreign nukes or the mobs of hungry people who will feel betrayed. Stupid, obtuse, checkers-instead-of-chess thinking.

Read just the title of this Congressional hearing today and tell me these people have any fucking clue which end is up.

I predict DJT's candidacy will be short lived. Major Donors are already backing away (BlackRock's CEO is the latest) and he will be a leper to them if he is indicted.

There is no way he will put any of his own money behind this and that is the basis for the prediction.

I get that a lot of folks here dislike Trump but here's a question: Were we better off during the Trump administration or now? Or with the one prior to Trump?

Here's a yuge list of Trump's accomplishments during his term:

I do believe, however, that should Trump win the election the Uniparty and their lapdogs in the media will attack him just like they did before. We'll have non-stop "scandals" and impeachments. But I think DeSantis or any other non-RINO would get the same treatment.

The difference between Americans and Europeans is our ancestors threw off the yoke of tyranny, theirs embraced it.

Got a few minutes at work.

But this reminds me of a couple of books I have read. Puts me in a mind that there is a correlation between the two. I know I have mentioned them before but today it strikes me how they dovetail into what we are seeing. Maybe.

One is called "A Single Tear" about the Chicom Revolution. It was not about death or privation, though it was there it was not this guys experience. In a nutshell what I took from it was that it was about Mao keeping the country off kilter. There were the in-groups who were led by this or that deputy of Mao's who were speaking for him. But lest that deputy gain a following who could overthrow him, Mao would get rid of him and apppoint other deputies. So one day you and your village are in the in-group correctly adoring Mao the next day you are off to the camps or are having to denounce the former group and leaders to distance yourself from wrong think from the new deputies. This happened frequently. You never knew what was legal, permitted or acceptable to stay out of trouble and be part of the in-crowd.

The second book detailed the "police battalions" who executed the "final solution" for the Nazi's. The guys were too old or infirmed to serve on frontlines. So they were charged with rounding up the undesirables. Many never actually fired a shot to murder the rounded up peoples, they found a way to be rounding someone up and not behind a rifle. How did this happen? They did not want to go against the peer pressure of not "doing their duty", even though they were against and revolted by what was happening. They hated what they were doing but refused to rebel, even though there were more who were horrified than there were who were enthusiastic, by a lot.

So if Trump is controlled opposition, if it is a uni-party and we ain't in the club why do we keep beating our heads against the brick wall. My take in putting these 2 books together is that we are off kilter, support the R or the Trump ticket - that is the in group to follow. You don't want to be racist and call out the thugs in the AntiFa or BLM groups wrecking havoc in communities, you don't want to be called a homophobe if you think the transgender, homosexual movements are a sickness. Leadership is desperate not to be cancelled, even though rank and file are appalled and want to have someone stand up for them. Don't go following the wrong group think by thinking Trump, DeSantis, Lake, Kay Ivey, whomever will NOT save you. Even though all of them spend money they don't have like drunken sailors on leave and they refuse to stand against the medical monopoly, and NOONE did not stand against the lockdowns or really denounce the vaxx. Not a blooming one. But the establishment guys, the faux news, all the so-called conservatives are like the Germans rounding up the Jews and other undesirables. SOme of them have to know what is right but they don't want to slay the sacred cows and really do what the people need them to do. They don't want to disappoint their masters.

Maybe I don't express it properly but like I said Trumps announcement struck me as an amalgamation of these 2 books. Off kilter and peer pressure.

Better to ask that of the recipients of the Jab. Or the J6 protestors.

I for one had to fight against the Clot Shot delusion in my own extended family, and it took a mental toll on me. And if it weren't for the fact that my children had acres of nature to blow off steam, I'd imagine they'd have ended up like 90% of the youth in this country. The stories I STILL hear from my own kids on a daily basis is saddening. And maddening.

Maybe the better question should be: "Are you better off than your parents?" Answer that honestly and candidly and you'll know where we're headed. Pissed off youths, unmentored and unwept, end up participating in Bastilles.

They win, albeit Pyrrhic victories that leave smoking holes in the middle of former nation-states.

The one thing I heard Trump say last night that I agree with is most people that voted in the midterms have not felt the negative impact of Biden's policies but they certainly will by 2024. My wife's company is announcing layoffs on Friday. I suspect it won't be the last one before 2024.

There were a lot of people who were feeling economically better off with Trump at the beginning of his term but that was just hope followed by lots of debt emitted into the system. Just like going on a drug or alcohol bender you're having the best time ever until the hangover. Recall that the stock market was a "big fat ugly bubble" just before he was elected and then by late January the market was up because he was so great.

Biden is worse, obviously, but the guy/gal after him will also be worse economically with our increasing pile of debt, debasement of purchasing power, erosion of liberties, selling out to special interests, etc.

Trump started his campaign now so he could get the maximum amount of fundraising grifting time he could. What's he going to do in his mythical second term, contain medical costs, jail Hillary, reverse Obamacare, encourage Durham to actually do something about the corruption in D.C.?
