The Republicans Shot Themselves In The Head -- Twice

The midterm disaster was the absolute last straw for me. There needed to be a complete reversal of the insane *******'s policies for the country to survive. It's a done deal now. As I've said before, the total collapse is the only fix now. Mass death and destruction and then try to rebuild from the ashes. Every dumbfuk that has taken the vax, tell them it's great take another. Fuk them all. Maybe the country will be a better place eventually with half the population, with the most stupid Karen and Kens gone from their suicide by vax. I do know on a personal level, the only people I can say act normal or don't have health issues are the non-vaxed, so it's fking happening already; and I expect it to get worse and worse. The next few years are going to be a clusterfuk beyond what anyone can predict, with the insane *******s still running the country into the ground and all the sick and dying vaxed up dumfuks. 395 posts, incept 2021-12-17

@Tickerguy -- I disagree, if only because of the technicality that the GOP doesn't have leaders... they have people pretending to be leaders.

I've posted the video before, but here is an excellent example:

Top 5 ticker KD... KUDOS!! VERY complex issues boiled down to where anyone can understand and validated with bullet points.

I'll reply w/ 2 takeaways

1. For voting/red wave/cryto illegalities et al.-
Occams razor: is a principle of theory construction or evaluation according to which, other things equal, explanations that posit fewer entities, or fewer kinds of entities, are to be preferred to explanations that posit more. It is sometimes misleadingly characterized as a general recommendation of simpler explanations over more complex ones.

2. Jabs (please dont shoot the messenger). Last weekend I spoke at length with a lead RN in one of the biggest hosptials in Atlanta. She couldn't count the number of patients lost. ADAMANT about myocarditis showing up in superior athletes is that their superior cardio systems MAKE them susceptible to all that's going on... ADAMANT about the jabs saving lives. Adamant about remdesivir saving lives. Asked her how many ventilated actually walked out. She said 90% mortality was a joke, more like 50%. HATES Trump with a passion but praised how quickly vaxx was created and distributed. Adamant there are no dangers or side effects to vaxx. When I suggested survival of the fittest/glean the herd, I almost got jumped. I understand. She cannot allow herself to think that way. She lived it and I had to respect her positions.

My take to all of this: EVERY politician is a sackless liar. As KD said, not ONE stepped up to the bell... WORTHLESS

And Occam's razor seems to be even more relevant in understanding any of this crap... so I'll end thusly on state of our nation:

"I say we take off, nuke the entire site from orbit... it's the only way to be sure"

@disgusted...totally agree with you.
The insane asylum has now taken over. So be it.
My own personal dilemma is this. My county (supposedly red) voted overwhelmingly for Shapiro/Fetterman. We have been giving generously to the local food back for a while now. I feel like because the need is great in our area and others to keep giving. On the other hand, I feel like, let them starve. Nobody EVER gave us a hand up. At one point I had three jobs while these slubs sit on their asses. Nothing is going to get better at this point. **** them and the vax/mask *******s they rode in with.

Ukraine funneling back a material amount of the billions sent to it into democratic campaigns? Say it ain't so. Hasn't Israel been doing this for both parties for decades through their lobby?

Perhaps the stupid party has resigned itself to being the loyal opposition/campaigning money making machine. People will eventually catch on that they have been hoodwinked, but not before high party officials in the stupid party have enjoyed their 30 pieces of silver. 395 posts, incept 2021-12-17

@Tickerguy -- LOL, good point. (HTML & BB-code really ought to have <sarcasm> and <cynical> tags.)
Though given how bound-and-determined these "leaders" are to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, why the hell does anyone listen to them anymore?

Ive thought about this on and off and I cant think of a way to design these vote tabulation machines such as they are both foolproof and more importantly fraud-proof.

@Mikeyinfl -- Yes, these tabulators are meant to facilitate fraud; I've posted about how to go about designing a secure system on my blog: Now, of course you have to design it, from the ground up, to be correct and secure.

@Ocdawg - Your RN "lead" is lying.

I know a few who lie as well. The "superior athlete" nonsense is especially galling as this is someone who you'd think had actual knowledge gained by both instruction and experience. You'd be wrong -- said "lead RN" is likely someone who got their nursing degree as a participation trophy and has read ZERO of the actual scientific papers in the last two years.

Never mind the FACT that reported "thuds" among athletes has historically been in the neighborhood of 50 a year while now we're seeing that in one or two WEEKS.

50% mortality for vents? She KNOWS that's a lie. Hell, our local county hospital killed NINETY PERCENT of the people who went in there with Covid (this is ADMITS, not just intubations!) over a SIX MONTH PERIOD. That's not speculation; it's government-reported FACT. They learned NOTHING from the previous 18 months as documented by the fact that their kill rate went UP rather than down.

That ugly **** is LYING and if you "respect" her positions you're STUPID and at risk of DEATH for doing so.

Oh by the way, the kill ratio in other MUCH LARGER counties during the SAME six months? Let's take Knox.

As of 6/1/2021 admits 1428 and deaths 668
As of 12/29/2021 admits 2227 and deaths 1065
Delta is 799 admits and 397 dead, or 50% died.

You're telling me only HALF of those ventilated died?

SHE'S LYING -- in Knox County, much larger than here, over that six month period and this was after jabs were available to all adults, I remind you fully HALF of those who were admitted in that county came out in a ****ing BOX.

This is off Tennessee Department of Health data which, if they had any sort of bias at all, it was to UNDERSTATE deaths because, well, hospital workers are HEROES! Yet even with EVERY bias going to their benefit this is the OFFICIAL Government record of the State of Tennessee.

That **** deserves DEATH and I hope she took EVERY one of the jabs and all the boosters so she gets what she deserves.

The difference between "kill" and "murder" is that murder, as a subset of kill, is undeserved by the deceased.

Phils -I have no sympathy for the millions of people who have died or are in bad health for taking the vaccine. I am in my 60's and refused to take the covid vax shot because I didn't trust that a specific vaccine can be made in a year without proper testing, and I am doing great health wise. I haven't even been sick the last 3 years. I know people who have been vaxxed 3x plus boosters and caught covid several times. When 2 years ago I told people in my circle of friends & acquaintance's I will not get any covid shot boy did I get scolded. When I told them about the possible side effects they wouldn't listen. I recommended the market ticker to read Karl's articles they told me I am an idiot. Stop reading those conspiracy web sites. I hope you die from covid etc. This was said to me from people l knew for over 30 years. Yes I was hurt.
Everything they heard on tv was gospel to them. I couldn't even have a cordial discussion about the issue. However those who were scolding me have had medical issues since being vax. 2 were diagnosed with cancer(one recently just died)one had a brain aneurysm, others have had many other medical issues since the vax.
could be a coincidence.NA!
I was wondering if the newer vax shots & boosters are a little safer. I still won't take it no matter what.
Could someone explain to me why the democrat voters blow off all the lies of the democrats, but if a republican lies its the end of democracy. We get the government we deserve.

@ KD

Oh believe me, it quickly became a white-noise "conversation." She's married to one of my best friends since grade school and hadn't seen him in 3 years. I sat quietly. She drinks the Kool-Aid. Every time I interjected with FACTS (ie just like some of the numbers you mentioned above), she'd jump to her feet. I wanted to enjoy the weekend so I just nodded A LOT, and we agreed to disagree.

My buddy is very pacifist so I don't think she was used to someone challenging her. She wasn't feeling well last Monday so they quarantined each other (even though she tested NEGATIVE)... I think THAT speaks more to this than anything.

I can "repsect" the insane... I don't have to follow any of it. Last point- she BELIEVES Trump wasn't joking when he said why can't we treat people with Draino. She got so pissed whe I said it was a joke I could see veins bulging... you can't stop the Kool-Aid....

Or, for that matter @Ocdawg the woman who allegedly tried to "treat" her husband with aquarium cleaner that contained chloroquine?

Remember that uproar that it was all "Trump's" fault?

Notice how people shut up about it and never admitted they were full of **** after it was disclosed she apparently was trying to poison -- not treat -- her husband?

Tickerguy said
Said fetus had no chance of anything other than, if forced to be born, a nasty and extremely short life guaranteed to both lead to death and the impoverishment of the parents via the costs of medical care during that time

This is a hugely important part of the abortion aspect of this election I think. We heard abortion or inflation, which one is more important to voters? But the issues are intertwined, many women or couples would be a little afraid of a forced pregnancy, birth and a child to support when they are looking at not being able to pay their bills already - and people who try to plan for the future probably also vote. Is it completely rational, given that there are other options like travel to another state or the morning after pill? No, but fear is known to crowd out rationality.

The risks here cannot be overstated. It would be entirely rational for all of the GOP-led states and areas to declare Congress and all of its acts, and those of Joe Biden over the next two years void if in fact control of the House and Senate can plausibly be tied to funds that flowed through Ukraine, into FTX and then back into US election campaigns.

This would essentially be succession, which means the civil war would be ON.

This was the first time (well, in a long time anyway) where I had an extended conversation with some one so highly "educated" but so deeply entrenched. I'm fairly good at moving a conversatioin to benefit/satisfy everyone's point FAIRLY (I'm a sales guy after all)... but this was "other level." And it became quickly apparent the was no hope in finding common ground.

One of my favorite bits of snarky humor states, "The United States of America is a rotting corpse being consumed by maggots. Democrats are cheering for the maggots. Republicans are cheering for the corpse."

There's a lot of truth in that. The republican party is good at keeping the game going but not much else. Money flows in. Favors get doled out. A few fiery speeches get delivered. When push comes to shove they aren't interested in confronting the fact that they're dealing with a corpse. At best they lower the temp a degree or two, but the rot proceeds.

I agree with this 100%

Why would a woman vote for someone who wants to put her in prison for murder if she wants to abort her rapist's baby? Why would she vote for someone who wants to force her to labor for a baby that will have a short and painful life and then send her a crippling bill for it?

How about legislating that hospitals and corporations can't profit off of aborted babies? Ban experimentation on them. Ban harvesting them for parts. Ban using their cells to test consumer products? Maybe if profiting from abortion is banned, it would be less encouraged.

How about supporting adoption with improved tax breaks and proper regulation?

Maybe approach it from an angle where abortion is discouraged not criminalized, especially for the woman.

It doesn't matter @Mikebrandt WHERE you aim the criminal sanction; if you aim it at doctors you have done the same thing as if you aim it at the women. The point is to remove the option which if you were just raped or discover the fetus has no chance of a reasonable life is a demand that YOU suffer AGAIN after a horrid thing already happened, in one case due to someone's criminal act and in the other due to really ****ty luck -- but it DOES happen.

The left seized on the ectopic pregnancy thing which was horse**** BUT the fear of it is NOT horse****. The actual odds if you've never had one before are 1 in 60. Those odds are PLENTY high enough to freak out ANY woman who can potentially still get pregnant if you plausibly threaten to force her to DIE as a result!

Laws have to start general and then develop special specifications.

As a statistical thought experiment, what ratio of election races in the last four decades have resulted in a 50+/-1%? How likely is this to happen via competition that is both real and fair?

Hanlon's Razor breaks under repeated application to the same entity. If the outcome is reliably negative, the cause is malice, not stupidity.

The "uniparty" interpretation is accurate in a lot of regards. Sock puppets don't suffer from lead poisoning.

When we say "the funds came through Ukraine" what that really means is that wartime chaos/misdirection makes slushing/laundering/theft/fraud almost effortless. Ukraine's a proxy, a butt-puppet.

When one considers that more than half (by a fair amount) took the jabs, one must understand that these people are essentially of the mindset as your Lead RN example. Sure, there are some who won't take another booster and even fewer who have 'serious doubts' about the jabs.

That's more than half the adult population. I recently had 'something' (I will not test but do suspect Covid). Remember also that per the CDC you're 'good to go' back to work after 5 days, etc after getting the Vid. So at two weeks of congestion and mild cough, we had to go out and get groceries and take care of a few things. Here's the part that scare(d)s) me. Even those who refused the jab, those who refused to wear a mask, would still either recommend (my wife did this) that I wear a mask when I go out!!! Others would say, yeah, I got 'something' even though I wore a mask!

The indoctrination was and is severe and deep and goes beyond what people 'say' they believe. Upon reflection of all this, it is patently understandable why the Red Wave faded to not even a trickle. The Great Delusion is upon us! I cannnot say why it is, just THAT it is.

Lay low. Hang on to yer hats! It's gonna be a really, really, rough ride folks!

My response to the repukes self immolation is, excellent. I was deluded into believing 2016 portended the end of them both. I was also deluded into thinking elections actually mattered and reflected the public sentiment.

I will never get it vis-a-vis abortion. Almost all arguments are emotional ones that include examples of rape, risk to mother, etc; these are inherently the exception, but OK.

I can buy it being a legitimate factor in the election analysis, assuming I accept that process as legitimate too. Are people really spending their time worrying about these scenarios, and for that matter worrying about what the likes of Graham say? This is what draws their ire?

Yesterday I had all the classic symptoms of a cold. An ordinary cold. Runny nose, sneezing, no fever, no body involvement (e.g. aches, etc.)

Typically these are 3-5 day affairs in most people. Well, I did little other than Betadine up the nose ("Cold defense") since I have it and since I was already cooking up a big pot of chili as it was ****ing cold outside here I ate that with gusto and my usual dose of extra-hot (spice) sauce.

I went to bed early.

This morning? It's gone. Literally gone. No residuals except for a very slight amount of nasal congestion (constrained breathing through said nose a bit), but no snot.

That's roughly 24 hours, which is pretty damn good for fighting off a respiratory virus.

What WAS the virus? I have no clue, nor do I have a clue as to where I picked it up. Maybe someone sneezed in the grocery store a few days ago? A mask would have done nothing since I can't identify where the potential exposure came from and the odds that I would have had it on at that moment, EVEN IF IT WORKED, approach zero but I know it didn't come from my household because there's nobody here but me and two cats, neither of which go outside so if there was transmission there it was from me to them and not the other way around. Of course the other day I had all the windows open as it was a beautiful, low-humidity day -- maybe the NEIGHBOR sneezed and it wafted in the open window? Entirely possible.

Do I care? No. Its getting to be winter and guess what, respiratory viruses have been around forever and will be around forever.

Whatever this one was it was wimpy as Hell -- or my immune system has not been insulted with all manner of worthless shots -- as it didn't even manage to so much as mildly inconvenience me for more than about 18 waking hours. Meh.

All these people getting sick all the time? **** 'EM they deserve it.

A woman's right to choose is a good place to find a modicum of consensus between the liberals and those of us refusing the vaxx.

There are women who understand this and can be brought to our side.

If we are sovereign individuals then we SHOULD be able to do whatever we want with our physical self. Suicide, sure. Drugs, have at them.

This doesn't mean society should pay the cost for bad individual choices. But it doesn't need to make everything illegal either.

In a healthy society; whatever this actually is, the majority would be engaged and rewarded so these problems wouldn't be common.

On one hand this seems so easy. Yet, on the other, people are so different in their beliefs (and even those who agree find nuances they disagree about) we become the dog chasing its tail.

Someone once said out of all the evils to escape Pandora's box, hope was the most sinister. People who are hopeful don't act, they hope.

I sure hope things get better.

The problem is most people want to point a finger rather than their thumb when dealing with challenges.
