Admittance, Repentance, Repayment, Prevention.

They haven't even completed step 1 yet.
And until they hit at least step 3, there will not be any "moving on" from this.

The real problem here, is that (like Scott Adams), until they swallow their smug "smarter-than-you" pride, they'll never make it past step 1.
