How You Start A Civil War
[Comments enabled]

I'm sure you've all heard the hue and cry about illegal immigrants being bussed to Chicago, DC, NYC and now Martha's Vineyard.

All of which are full of people who voted for, and thus are represented by, politicians who allegedly support "open borders", "free migration" and, of course, sanctuary cities where nobody can ask about your immigration status -- that is, are you here legally or not?

This is all fine and well when it comes to posturing, of course.  But when it comes to actually doing it, not so much.

And this, my friends, is the underline on the facts -- and what you ought to pay attention to.

The way you get a no-bullshit shooting civil war is to believe you can take a policy, any policy, and ram it down someone else's throat while not executing the same policy at the same expense upon your own region and people.

That is precisely what the Democrats generally and Biden specifically are doing: Punishing those border states and regions by forcing them to absorb the cost of illegal migration which, under federal law, requires it to be stopped or even declared an invasion with use of whatever force is necessary to bring it to a halt while the "blue" regions laugh and pay nothing.

Well, now they're paying, like it or not, and Newsom is even trying to argue this amounts to kidnapping or, in the alternative, transporting illegal aliens across state lines in violation of the law.  Except, of course, that's exactly what Biden has been doing with his late night plane rides, so if its illegal to voluntarily let people board a bus to "greener pastures" why isn't Biden in prison right now?

We all know the answer.

This was a major part of what led to the first Civil War; the North and DC passed laws that wildly favored certain business lines in taxation while punishing others, which just happened to be all Southern States.  Then the DC and North decided that concurrent recognition of the laws of Southern States were unnecessary or even criminal while at the same time they expected that the laws favoring themfor example when it came to contracts and matters of business and finance, were to be enforced against those in the South.  Yes, that encompassed slavery, of course, but the point remains: Full faith and credit only ran one way just as it does now.

In the modern era how this can be turned against you is quite simple and, if it comes, disastrous:

  • You don't like cows because they fart methane?  Fine; you don't get any being raised here.  Eat bugs.

  • You don't want natural gas fired power, coal, or nuclear?  Only wind and solar?  Fine; no power from any of those other sources will be exported to your state.  Oh, its calm and raining/snowing?  Tough crap.  Die in the dark, assholes.

  • You don't want gas (or diesel) powered vehicles?  Fine; not one item will be imported into your state using or carried by them, nor will any of those fuels cross into or through your state.  That includes trains too; yours might be electric, but OURS are diesel and they're not coming to your state border.  Don't like that?  Tough crap.  Starve.

  • I know, chemical plants are nasty.  You don't want them inside your state.  Sounds good to me; no chlorine intended for water sanitation for you!  Die of cholera, assholes.  Oh, you think the same with regards to herbicides, fertilizers and similar?  Sounds good to me; now try to feed yourselves with the yields you can obtain without them.

See how this works?

Now explain the following: 50 so-called "migrants" resulted in Martha's Vineyard calling up the state National Guard to effectively expel them to a military facility.  Fifty.  Given this precedent and that the federal government did not step in to stop it explain why Texas and Arizona cannot mobilize their National Guards to cut off the flow of said people which numbers in the thousands per day between them and, quite-obviously, is a much larger burden.

If one is ok then so is the other and the Federal Government is not permitted said distinction. Indeed the entire premise of our Constitution is that the States stand as equals and thus if one can call up the Guard to expel migrants so can the rest.  It was the direct refusal to equally treat southern states with respect to "full faith and credit" that was a major component of why the Civil War occurred.

Be careful what you wish for folks; nobody with an ounce of common sense wants to see a real civil conflict.  But if you think that such a thing has to be a shooting war it most-certainly does not.

Just think about the four examples above and then contemplate how many more can be enforced without firing a single shot.  Yes, such enforcement would be "leaky" and some people would violate such an embargo.  Tell me how well it works out for you if even just 10 or 20% of that which you rely on in said blue cities and states doesn't show up.

Choose wisely.

Well laid out. As always. No surprise this ticker is yet another home run. But will anybody listen to the warning? Im pretty jaded so Im highly doubtful of that. We just continue to collectively say that it cant happen here. Well. It can. It has. And possibly will again.

These are amazing points, but I don't think ANYONE in the federal or state governments believes them themselves, and/or would risk their retirements and Benes to enforce them. So, how do you get enough to listen up and take action?

Lincoln was a tyrant. He didn't care much about slavery - his whole goal was to keep the Union together, and he spilled the blood of 600K young men and severely injured countless others to do it. He destroyed the South, and it took 100 years for it to recover from the burning and the looting sanctioned by the North. Yes, slavery was an abomination. Did it justify Lincoln's actions? Yes, the South struck first at Ft Sumter, after numerous provocations. Sound familiar?

Now the US is importing millions of illegals, in clear violation of the law. The cost is mostly born by just a few states. A wall won't be built, and the US won't send them back to their country of origin. Instead they are foisted upon a population drowning in crime and drugs and now inflation. Those in their mansions at the Hampton or in Malibu don't have to live with the results of these actions. I know first-hand about everything one must do to become a citizen if one follows the law. It takes lots of time, lots of paperwork, and lots of money. And these illegals walk in, go on welfare, and will eventually become citizens and can vote for liberals who promise more of the same.

Biden tried to force me to take jabs that could harm or kill me, and threatened my job. And most in DC and elsewhere stood silent. Can those who remained silent count on my support if the populace rises up and threatens them?

The US is fighting a war against Russia via proxy in Ukraine without a declaration of war. Who bears the brunt of the consequences of a war - not the rich elite. They make all the money. No, it'll be those without the necessary connections and money who'll be shipped off to Ukraine to fight the Russians.

Biden tells us that the US has F15s to bomb its recalcitrant citizens. Biden is fomenting civil war. He wants one, so there is an excuse to destroy his opponents. He may get one, but it won't look like the last one. There will be no armies marching around. F15s will be useless.

Sounds good, I'll have to read more, I need a laugh :)

Of course the news around here forgot to mention migrants being moved around. It's Ukraine, Elizabeth II, hurricanes and typhoons and that's about it.

But it's a recurring theme, virtue signalling whilst working really hard to not actually having to do (or pay) anything. As soon as the money start disappearing from their own wallets it's suddenly somebody else's fault because they're not willing to pay anymore. Of course the last part is then labeled racist or some such, definitely not the part where they don't want it themselves.

Yep...was wondering how the Democrats can condmen Kari lake for wanting to use AZ gaurd to protect the border while MA used them to get rid of 50 illegals. Was that voluntary? It was in FL. Where's the ACLU on this?!

Thanks for this. I don't understand why the various trade associations don't do as you say. A nicely worded note to the governors in these states that are killing their respective industries that as good responsible leaders we respect your decision to restrict and heavily regulate our products. And in solidarity we will help you in your quest by not shipping our products to you. No gas, oil, meat, fertilizer, ag products etc. Make their citizens see the fullness of the ramifications. They can't force them to sell. If they try to force it everyone sees, hopefully, their hypocrisy and why killing these industries will kill them personally. Come on CEO. Stand up for yourself and for once I cheerfully condone abject selfish behavior on your parts.

Governors aren't doing shit besides political theater. But the current play is a comedy, so enjoy.

And work harder, their EBT and free housing won't pay for itself. Martha's Vineyard folks are above such things as section 8, so enjoy the cultural enrichment coming soon to your town.

There is sometimes talk about the state of Texas seceding. I've often doubted this in the past, but it could become a real thing, with perhaps other states following suit. I don't particularly want the US to break up as a union, but frankly it's time for a divorce.

Consider it like a marriage. Your spouse is determined to drown out every objection you have to his/her behavior. Your spouse behaves erratically, wantonly engaging in wild expenditures and throws you an occasional scrap to keep you quiet. You clip coupons, sweat to make the rent each month, and pray to God you keep your health because Lord knows you cannot afford to get sick.

Meanwhile, when you object to this terrible behavior, you're called names, made fun of, and threatened with physical violence (F-15s, anyone?) if you have the temerity to complain. Seriously, how long would ANYONE stay in such a relationship? I left a similar arrangement almost 30 years ago and have: 1) never looked back, 2) never regretted leaving, 3) have never enjoyed freedom this much, ever.

It really comes down to how much longer you choose to wear the yoke around your neck.

Sure, it's political theater. There are occasions where it's necessary to make a point though. Will the point get lost in the theater? Probably, but we're at least approaching the breaking point with this if it hasn't already been passed. I don't want an all out civil war any more than the next sane person. But something has to give.

Speaking of non-shooting wars, look no further than how badly Europe is suffering in the idiotic non-shooting war it initiated with Russia because of how much it relied on Russia to provide it with resources.

Blue states and blue cities are in largely the same position - they have been discouraging "dirty" but necessary industries for years, preferring to import the finished products from elsewhere. For now the trucks, rail, pipelines, and transmission lines are still working, but how long will that be the case once scarcity starts changing people's motivations? That infrastructure is not impervious to accidents and I wouldn't be surprised to see more frequent stories of unexplained accidents affecting these supply lines.

Exactly on point. In my opinion, Biden and Company are doing everything in their power to create a civil war. And they are also poking the Bear (Russia) in every way possible to get the USA into a hot war with Russia (and China too since China has signaled its support for Russia with respect to Ukraine).

The options you have outlined in this post are non-violent ways of getting the point across without a shot being fired. Will it happen? I am not holding my breath. The political theatre on both sides of the isle continues. Buckle up. We live in a clown world.

I wonder if the hired help in Martha's vineyard were beginning to agitate for better wages?

The Democrats and Republicans both get a little political theater.

While the local workers are reminded how easy they would be to replace.

Meanwhile the elite are falling on the floor laughing at everyone.

The wealthy elites are progressive because they haven't suffered the ill effects of their progressivism. Look at the disdain that Hillary has for half the country, calling them deplorable. Does she or the residents of Martha's Vineyard have Section 8 neighbors? They don't have to compete for an ever dwindling number of well paying jobs in America in an environment of an ever increasing supply of third world bodies competing for them. Let a few of these third worlders get a little too close to the progressives' resorts and they go into panic mode.

DeSantis and Abbott have done the country a favor by showing the hypocrisy of our governing elites when they are confronted with the problems resulting from their refusal to enforce our immigration laws.

There won't be a peaceful solution to the problems our elites have foisted upon us because they are too arrogant to see that they could ever be wrong about anything.

Also, talking about demented. Here's Ole Shitler on 60 minutes last night, threatening the Chinese with war over Taiwan. Good plan, let's have a nuclear war with China and Russia at the same time. There is nothing left in his head but contradictions and mashed potatoes:

@SusanLauren - it certainly appears the administration is trying to provoke violence, probably to justify further anti-terrorism laws and restrictions. The GOP and media appear to be on board. With all the BS about the raids on Trump, Lindell, etc., they seem to want people out in the streets to make another example of them.

America needs to replace the Statue of Liberty with a newer symbol that expresses the policies of our government. Why not have a poor taxpayer bent over a table with his pants down around his ankles, held down by Uncle Sam and ready to be ass-raped and with his asshole facing the southern border. I think that better portrays our current immigration policies rather than some 19th century classical sculpture.

If Martha's Vineyard can do it, why not Texas and Arizona?

The answer is "who-whom." It doesn't matter "what," it only matters "who" is doing it to "whom." What our enemy does he calls good, what we do he calls bad, even - no, especially - when it's the same thing.

Russia has stopped caring what their enemies think, and are winning as a result.

Conservatives want their enemies to like them, and say nice things about them, and are losing as a result.
