@Jack_crabb -
O/T - but if there is no rule of law, wouldn't vengeance be the same as justice?
I can hope.
I think the law I am referring to is permanent, whether others follow it or not. I suppose some day I will find out.

Literally every country with nuclear plants is currently involved in a war or conflict. China and India border clashes, ditto India and Pakistan.
As for the US and EU nations they are involved in shipping arms and providing aid to the Ukraine, also their troops are occupying Serbian territory. Then there are US troops in Syrian territory, and, and, and.
So those countries with nuclear plants are risking a response from those countries they are in conflict with. And not just artillery shelling by the other countries army but by any and all means of asymmetric warfare by both the governments and by individuals. How many Russian civilians have western arms killed these past 6 months? Every dead person might just have a relative willing to seek retribution and nuclear plants have dozens of vulnerabilities that can be exploited to make an Oh Shit! moment.
So should all those countries shut those nuclear plants? Should they all stop messing in other countries? Should they shut the borders, reinforce and harden their plants and hope that none of the millions of migrants within the borders are willing to seek payback?

Well that's the question isn't it @Neal?

Why all the strum and furor over Ukraine? Remember, Russia is very unlikely to be the party doing the shelling, seeing as THEIR PEOPLE are running (e.g. physically AT) the plant right now.

So who's shelling it? Duh.

Ok, so the Ukraine folks are shelling a nuke plant on their own territory. Oh that's smart. Well, that sort of shit happens in a war. So do we accept this? If we do then shut the fuck up about the nuke plant over there.

If we don't, well.... seems there's a lot of folks with nuke plants that can't have them, right?

NASA faked out a computer instead of running the test.
Then tried to launch and aborted instead of going "BOOOM!"
Did they abort the JABS after faking THOSE tests?

"We're playing with FIRE HERE!", this isn't "pretend stuff". I worked in Nukes in my career (Brownsville, Dresden, Byron), and you have "no idea" as to the "world class" pain that can get "unleashed" if a reactor goes "HOT".

The Chernobyl incident "movie re-enactment" gives one a scence of the problem, The Daiichi - Fukashima "screw up" is a "ditto".

For those of you lacking an understanding ... "going critical on a fuel pile" isn't something you EVER want to experience. I DON'T CARE WHERE IT IS LOCATED.
"Where are the ENVIRONMENTALISTS and GLOBAL WARMING Hobgobluns?"

Do you know what happens when a "core melts down"? It ain't good is an understatement? Where's that 19 yearold sweedish girl "saying" "Don't shell the Nuke Plant"? Yeah, I thought so! (No real knowledge of how shit works!)

Nobody proclaiming to be for the "climate" shoots at an OPERATING Nuke Plant! Get it? If you don't, then bathe in gasolene and "light up a smoke"!
I'll give you a cigar, and a box of matches! I'll stand twenty feet away up wind.

"Climate Change my ass!"

The Ukies are not only shelling the ZPP Nuke plant, they also tried several amphibious assaults so far with disastrous results. they were and still are shelling the storage areas. I have read that the plants are offline and working towards cold shutdown. I was chatting with a friend in UA today, and they seem to think there are a large number of foreign "volunteers" working with the Ukie forces all of a sudden.
All the guys I watch for info on the war Military Summary, the Duran and The New Atlas are saying that this operation may change soon. My friend asked what I thought, I said Kick Zelenski .his minions, the US and the EU out and make peace with Russia. I do seem though that they want to fight to the last man. I hope Putin stops playing with them and ends this before the do something that ends the world. Our *******s are involved in a lot of what's going on over there! Idiot effin meddling pricks! And **** Biden Too

Kind of smart isn't it Karl? If they lose, they lose. If they win, they have no electricity. The climate scam is behind this. Shut off the oil, blow up the nukes, Go Green. Why else would they be this stupid?

You're appeal to authority aside, a nuclear meltdown is going to do fuck all to affect the climate that it wasn't already doing (making heat).

It might pollute the local and intermediate environmental with radiation pollution for a long time, but it isn't going to impact climate change.

"Nobody proclaiming to be for the "climate" shoots at an OPERATING Nuke Plant!"

Unless your goal is to demonise nuclear and force everyone to shut down the last remaining plants.

Remember, this isn't just about Ukraine and destroying Russia.

@Ckaminski On the subject of climate change, has anyone seen this?

I've always been extra suspicious of wind power, especially what it might do if you keep extracting a ton of wind and messing with air pressure etc.

But if that article is even REMOTELY accurate about what those windmills are doing... holy shit. Shame nobody thought about shit like this BEFORE going ahead and building tens of thousands of the bloody things.

My gut's reaction to this is bull shit.

Surface winds and the jet stream are different. Altering surface wind might cause local weather changes, but the jet stream?

Maybe all the cars driving on the planet's surface are causing the earth spin to slow?

Or maybe all the fat humans are causing a disruption with our gravity by making the earth heavier?

Or possibly, it was the Hands Across America
that unleashed global warming?

Whatever the environmental story, remember, humans bad!

The problem is most people want to point a finger rather than their thumb when dealing with challenges.

And I thought that "going critical" was how reactors were supposed to work.

You're right. Even though the word "critical" is nicely dramatic, an operating reactor that is under control is exactly critical. It's a point of balance, like riding a bike, or a rocket being launched - a dangerous activity is underway but it is also under control.
When a reactor gets out of control, it is super-critical or, worst case, prompt critical. Here the reaction is proceeding way too quickly to be kept under control and damage will occur if it proceeds too far (this might take milliseconds). To continue the metaphors, your bike hits the curb and you fly over the handlebars, or you do what Blue Origin's rocket did yesterday and go from controlled flight to uncontrolled destruction.

In a previous career we used to have to use the phrase spontaneous failure in official SOPs, and spontaneous rapid disassembly or some such in other communications.
I think it started as a tongue in cheek response to management political correctness, but it stuck.

@Boredfree - I'm ALWAYS inclined to believe things are bullshit until proven otherwise. But... if it's not...

That's the problem. Nobody bothered to think of that FIRST.

Is it possible the Democrats are in cahoots with Russia and the ccp?
The reason I ask is,surely they know their actions will cause death and starvation in the west?
The Democrats, with forced vaccination, trans bullshit,Soros funded DAs releasing dangerous criminals on little bail, drag queen story hour has all the hallmarks of end of empire. They cannot be so retarded they don't know this, can they?
Looks to me Ukraine could be just a smokescreen to cover up the introduction of UBI across the west. I hope I'm wearing tin,but I think all these global leaders are willingly,or unwillingly, carrying out orders from on high. Certainly has Soros's dirty fingerprints over it at local level in the USA
