Why wasn't this run to the ground?

All patients presented with severe COVID-19 infection with most requiring mechanical ventilation due to severe hypoxia. After treatment with the protocol including hydroxyurea, all case study patients improved, mechanical ventilation was removed, and patients were discharged to a rehabilitation facility which was the hospital’s goal for patients presenting with severe illness.

Since the original nine patients included in these clinical summaries were treated, an additional 46 patients have been treated using the same protocol bringing the total number of patients treated with the hydroxyurea protocol to 55. Again, all 55 patients were suffering from severe COVID-19 and had failed to respond to other treatments. Out of the 55 patients seen to date as of April 2021, 47 have made a full recovery and reverted back to pre-COVID respiratory status and eight failed to recover.

Sweet Jesus, how many people died because there was no notice whatsoever of this, and, from the data, it certainly appears to work.  Hydroxyurea, to be specific.

Of course if run-death-is-near has destroyed your kidney function you're screwed, I'd expect this won't unscrew you.  But assuming that didn't happen this looks awfully damn good.  May I remind you that in my county, in the last half of 2021, the one county hospital (yeah, makes it easy to figure out the place that's a damned death sentence) sent nearly nine out of ten Covid people who came in there out in a box.

This protocol had an 85% success rate rescuing people who were screwed to the point of being near death and had been transferred for palliative care -- that is, medicine had given up on them and they were going to die.

EIGHTY FIVE PERCENT OF THE TIME. GIVEN THIS TREATMENT, THEY DID NOT DIE and, far more importantly, none who didn't die were left with residual impairment either; all were returned to their prior respiratory status.

Folks, I have never seen a record like that for any therapy among people who have been written off (e.g. on palliative care.)  If you managed to save ten percent of such people you would be considered a God and might well get a Nobel Prize!

This is not a "safe" drug by any means (I would certainly not screw with it on my own) but by God if you're headed for death's door who gives a crap?  Especially when it works 85% of the time among a population of people who without it are nearly 100% certain to die.

This drug has a long history of use among people with Sickle Cell disease, is ridiculously cheap, about $25 for sixty capsules and, by the data, could have saved nearly everyone who got in serious trouble --and this paper was published in October of 2021!  What's worse is that the hospital in North Carolina that ran this protocol did so starting in April of 2020 and the results WERE SAT ON FOR A YEAR AND A HALF RATHER THAN BEING WIDELY DISSEMINATED AND FOLLOWED UP.

By the way, a check of clhicaltrials.gov finds exactly zero trials that were run or are being run on this drug for this condition.  Zero.  Nobody gave a damn.  They deliberately did not look and did not follow up despite knowing it worked.

At an 85% "save" rate for the most-critical patients, if this has been used, Covid would have been roughly equivalent to two years of bad influenza which we have gone through many time before without having a hissy fit.  Every bit of the medical and government response beyond the first five or six months was willful and intentional misconduct and still is to this day.

HHS and the CDC both knew this hospital had that level of success because both were getting hospital-by-hospital data from very early on in the pandemic and thus both knew this place had figured out how to make those who were most-deathly ill not die.

The data was right in their face because they demanded it on a daily or weekly basis from every single hospital and they ignored it on purpose.

Where are the goddamned indictments and why isn't everyone involved sitting in prison especially Birx, Fauci, all the murderous assholes at HHS, the CDC, Vanderbilt, Johns Hopkins and more?

LOCK THEM ALL UP NOW; this blatantly obvious lack of follow-up killed hundreds of thousands over the last 18 months never mind all the people now dying of "suddenly and unexpectedly" -- but definitely not Covid -- which the CDC is, it appears, now trying to hide by tampering with their mortality data.  This is not a small change either; by best estimates it is amounting to thousands of "thuds" -- and perhaps into the tens of thousands -- per month.

Is it not obvious that this inexpensive and effective means of preventing said deaths was hushed up and not discussed because if you were nearly-certain to be able to beat the infection using a cheap and widely-available drug then (1) people don't die, (2) there is no fear; if you get hammered use this and you'll probably be ok and (3) nobody will take any goddamned poisonous jabs nor will anyone make any money on them never mind all the new "wonder drugs"!

Then there's the fact that admitting this drug works for the seriously ill, since this is an approved drug, made EUAs illegal across the board.  No "expedited" anything -- not just shots, but also Paxlovid, Molupinvir, Run-death-is-near and the rest.  All the EUAs go poof and must go through regular approval, not that many people would care when the death immediately stops for virtually everyone.  No death means no fear, no screaming and no profits.  That's the law.

That is exactly what was done with Bactrim and PCP back in the early days of AIDS.  Bactrim, which was an extremely-effective prophylaxis against PCP, a pneumonia that was killing AIDS patients by the thousands, was black-balled while AZT, which later proved worthless AND dangerous but at the time was the most-expensive prescription drug EVER, was advanced and those with AIDS were told to use it.

That was wild corruption for profit at the expense of lives and, as is clear from that paper, it was done again but this time at a scale ten times larger both in the number of people killed and the profits made by doing it.

Absent indictments it is also quite clear that the American people wanted their so-called "loved ones" dead and are perfectly happy with that outcome even today since they have, thus far to a literal individual, refused to personally take whatever measures are appropriate in retribution for the unbridled slaughter for money of people who they claim to have "loved".

Insomnia has its benefits: I now know what was hinted at yesterday.

This information isn't going to change a thing.

The responsible parties might apologize "mistakes were made due to the chaotic nature of the epidemic, sorry"

Most affected will nod their heads and bitch about their family's bad luck.

Meanwhile, in important news, Sprite is going to use clear plastic bottles rather than green.

The problem is most people want to point a finger rather than their thumb when dealing with challenges.

Just another item on the Crimes Against Humanity indictments that should be happening.

Yet there are still 2/3rds of doctors who are convinced jabs are the only way to go, ignore evidence of early treatments, refuse to see the mounting body count OR ACKNOWLEDGE THEIR ROLE IN IT!!!!!

They are not doctors. They are highly educated and credentialed amoral cowardly shitweasels that deserve all the hell that I hope comes their way. I don't even recognize my profession or the people in it most days.

I use Hydrea all the time. That drug is even older than I am and is very safe actually with no long term cumulative toxicity (if monitored obviously). Just like the Zelenko protocol. That guy was a hero.

Using an expensive and ineffective drug that enriches Big Pharma while ignoring cheap/ off patent drugs is a classic Fauci tactic. He did it with AZT and Bactrim, effectively killing my favorite uncle - and millions of other people over the years. Yet he is the pet of all the Beautiful People in DC, who also enrich themselves on the Pharma stocks of these lethal drugs. F**k 'em all with a rusty chainsaw sideways.

"Absent indictments it is also quite clear that the American people wanted their so-called "loved ones" dead and are perfectly happy with that outcome"

And apparently they still are perfectly happy because they're never-minding the hell out of "all the people now dying of "suddenly and unexpectedly" -- but definitely not Covid". The fertility problems that are also definitely not due to Covid, or even the lockdowns, aren't even on the radar of anyone who's not already a dissenter, because if deaths don't move 'em, how can an intergenerational demographic disaster trouble them? After all, it requires some vision beyond the next show on your Netflix playlist.

I don't really understand why "the CDC is, it appears, is now trying to hide (the "excess" deaths) by tampering with the data", because again, most Muricans could not care less, and when presented with any such data, unleash the rationalization skills they honed so vigorously when failing the moron test by getting jabbed.

Even being cognizant of MPAI doesn't blunt my contempt for these useless fucks.

I disagree with you about those people needing to be locked up. They need to be unalived in the most painful way possible. And the list needs to be a hell of a lot longer.

medical providers began to focus on medications that would assist at the capillary gas exchange level, therefore leading to the addition of hydroxyurea to the treatment protocol for severe, intubated COVID-19 patients.

Makes sense. Also used anti-inflamatory meds and Vitamin B9.

TG is 100% right. If the CDC and FDA had this information in late 2020 and failed to follow up on it, they deserve to be slowly roasted on a spit.

Unbelievable, but not too surprising at this point. It's obvious from what has/is transpiring that the policy setters have no concern about doing their job well and actually protecting public health to the maximum extent possible.

They all deserve to die, painfully.

At the tribunal for Fauci, Birx, Pfizer & Moderna execs, and Zuckerberg and other media despots, I want a presentation of all therapeutics that have data showing a health benefit and then the questions:

Why did you suppress this health benefit from the American people? Why did you choose to have more people die?

This is a time we need these criminals hanging from gallows in a public square. The moral needs to be imprinted in the minds of every person, that some crimes are so great the criminals must pay with their lives.

Did the hospital that ran this study continue using the treatment or did they revert back to run death is near etc?

It's not surprising they hid this and lied about it. They've done it with every alternative treatment since the first covid case was announced.

As a cancer survivor for 12 years I stay alive by avoiding doctors. Doctors know NOTHING about health. They need sick people to survive which is why two thirds of adults in America are on one or more Pharmaceuticals.

The current healthcare industry makes no money if you don't get sick. There is little to NO incentive for the medical industry, pharmaceutical industry and the supporting hospital and treatment centers to help keep you HEALTHY. Nope, the money is definitely in Treating Disease; most of which is totally PREVENTABLE. These corrupt medical institutions are making a FORTUNE Treating YOU to DEATH!

My advice, take your health into your own hands and stay away from doctors unless it's an emergency.

I haven't been to a doctor in 8 years and have no plans of going in the future and I'm 61 years old!

I was in Manhattan in March, 2020 when people started going into panic mode. I recall specially a young intern who was flipping out as everything they were doing was not working to save people. He specifically talked about hypoxia and his awareness that treatments, including the killer vents, were killing his patients. I wish I had saved his YouTube message, but it was probably deleted anyway.

is ridiculously cheap

There's the problem right there: no money to be made from using it.

I mean, why would they want people to use a drug that works and is cheap, when they'd rather people use a drug that doesn't work, but is ridiculously expensive and they can make money from.

If this were simple shameless greed at work, the companies would bribe the government to grant monopolies so they could charge $2500 for Ivermectin, HCQ, etc, and for any other treatments that work. We would be unhappy, but "insurance" would pick up the tab, premiums would go up a bit and the poor would get some kind of handout. But at least it would work and we would go on our way about it.

What we have witnessed is more than simple greed, it is evil.

Wake me up when one of the three letter propaganda companies breaks regular programming to present this news to the masses.

Oh, and I do think a lot of the populace does want to see their "loved ones" get put in the hole. This thing kills more old people, right? Want to wager how many people would rather have grandma's inheritance than another Christmas with the old bag? A lot of "normal" people aren't any different than assholes like Fauci, they just don't have the means to scale up the profiteering from suffering and death.

Sorry to be cynical on this Friday but it's the world we live in today.

Dearest @Tickerguy,
Welcome to the NC medical monopoly, where, if you are not DUKE, you get the nuke..

NC has great HC when it works in your favor. I have been a literal prisoner in a hospital with my wife for 4 days in the Big DUKE hospital. I would sooner slaughter every CCU Dr than return there for anything after my wife was transferred there post birth due to pre-eclampsia. Long story, but they were totally wling to let her die.

Considering it was the hospital systems in North Carolina that pushed the hardest for the state to shut down (and then one of the CEO's had the nerve to demand his child's school return to in-person learning), it is no surprise that this data was sat upon (shat upon?).
