Dr. Peter Marks, who leads the FDA office responsible for reviewing vaccine safety and effectiveness, said Novavax’s vaccine would potentially appeal to unimmunized people who would prefer a shot that is not based on the mRNA technology used by Pfizer and Moderna. Though Johnson & Johnson’s shot is also available, the CDC has restricted its use due to a risk of blood clots, primarily in women.
However, note this:
However, FDA officials also raised a red flag that Novavax’s vaccine might be associated with a risk of heart inflammation as is the case with Pfizer and Moderna’s shots.
In a safety database of 40,000 Novavax vaccine recipients, four young men who ranged in age from 16 to 28 reported myocarditis or pericarditis within 20 days of receiving a shot, though one of them had a viral illness that could have caused the symptoms. Myocarditis is an inflammation of the heart muscle and pericarditis is inflammation of the outer lining of the heart.
This is utter insanity and makes clear that the risk for heart-related disorders is not necessarily a function of the technology, but rather of systemic introduction of the spike protein.
Which, I remind you, we knew conditionally before widespread use of the first jabs, and had peer-reviewed confirmation by April of 2021 -- before widespread use by all but the most-elderly and ill Americans.
That the Novavax formulation also caused the same problem and yet it is a traditional protein-based vaccine is hard evidence -- although not conclusive -- that there is no safe way to vaccinate against a coronavirus through systemic introduction of the spike portion of the RNA -- and this must be presumed to apply to all coronaviruses, not just Covid-19 until proved otherwise.
I've noted this repeatedly -- viremia, that is, circulatory presence of the spike, does not occur in virtually all mild and moderate infections. During severe, critical and fatal infections it is common -- but not during mild ones. Yet injecting someone with the spike inevitably results in circulation of the spike protein in the body, which means the risks that come with viremia are intentionally introduced.
Never mind that Novavax is the "old" version of the virus anyway, and thus is a poor match with the current -- and any future -- circulating strains.
Finally, if that's not enough, basically everyone at this point either has been jabbed or has antibodies from infection or cross-reaction and thus already either has damaged their immune response by taking the other jabs or has excellent protection as a result of prior infection.
The only reasonable path to interdict severity of this particular family of viruses given this set of facts is to hit any suspected infection early and hard with the goal being to prevent viremia, not to mimic it in prior to exposure.
Our FDA is nothing more than a bunch of rubber-stamping assholes and should be flushed into the sewer.
