The War on Americas battle plan has three milestones:
Number 2 was Remove things they can buy.

Boy did I find that out in a big way last night shopping for a refrigerator.
Our local Home Depot, Lowes, and Nebraska Furniture Mart all had display models, but hardly any "in stock".
We also searched elsewhere but I am using just these 3 for examples.
The few they had in stock were for various reasons not the ones we wanted. Some were to big, some to small, some cas(cheap ass s#it), some waaay to much money for us. Think $5 grand plus.....Btw, the prices of refrigs have increased 25 to 30% since pre-pandemic.
The wait can be anywhere from 3 to 6 months, and that is the salesmen's best guess. Considering that is coming from a salesman who wants to make a sale, maybe one should add another month or two or indefinite delay to their claim?
Anyway what is going to happen when refrigerators break down and can't be readily replaced or even repaired for lack of parts?

In the greater Los Angeles County region, homelessness continues to grow. Camps are everywhere. Yesterday I watched (from the safety of my air conditioned car) two asian women give water and food to a homeless guy.

One the one hand, helping your fellow man is good. But in LA, feeding feral animals just gets you more of them.

The city is dirty and disgusting and getting more so. There is literally no pride left

And a crazy level of promiscuity. It is not uncommon for girls to have slept with 100 people by the time they are 30. Who want's to wife up a used rental car for new car prices?

Also what is with that ridiculous split nose ring that guys and girls now wear piercing their septum? It looks like a metal booger. The proliferation of tattoos is also disturbing. Why do people think some art that looks like it should be hanging off of the refrigerator of a parent of a kindergartener looks good indelibly inked into their dermis?

Hunger is the great unifier of people. One of their core goals is to not only keep us divided, but increase the divide, and the vehemence on all sides.

@Tappedout

Permit me some genial disagreement.

Our Ruling Class is trying to push us together because they know we are fundamentally incompatible and will fight. Hunger won't be a unifier of ALL the people, but a fracture line among the people. Like EVERYTHING in a civic-nationalist society, it will break down along racial lines and those lines will be exploited for political gain.

If the RC wanted to divide us, they would be promoting segregation, not integration and miscegenation. The idea that a "diverse" population will come together to combat a common enemy (the Ruling Class) is fantasy, as the RC only need to advocate for one at the expense of the other, and the "united we stand" scenario is sociologically IMPOSSIBLE.

Take food... If the food supply becomes a problem, one group will see it disproportionately over the others. Just like everything else in our civ-nat society, the Blacks are likely the ones that will see shortages first.

What scenario do you think is more likely?

1). Blacks, being short on food, decide to act civilly toward Whites (who have food...more expensive, yes, but food nonetheless), and propose that the food shortages are coming to them and we need to unite against the RC to unlock all the disruptions in the supply chain, even at the expense of those that are controlling society. Whites, after mulling this over after dinner and a hard day's work, say, "Sure. That sounds like a good idea. We will jeopardize what we have to help you out, because we can see that we are next. Never mind that you have been saying that when the time comes, the White minority will suffer, along with all the crime and stuff. Sure. We are in. When do we start?"

or

2). Blacks, being short on food, presents a fabulous opportunity for the Ruling Class, who has had the near universal, multi-generational support of Blacks for over a century, to whip them into a frenzy over how the evil White Supremacists have engineered a food shortage to genocide Blacks. Of course this is only possible if the Ruling Class has near universal control over the media outlets, banks, and education system. They propose that Whites need to give up food to Blacks in the name of equity, and take affirmative steps to use hungry Blacks as muscle to force the issue.

What is the more likely scenario?

If you want to cheat off your neighbor's paper, take a look at what the Bolsheviks (same people running the US today as back then) did to the Kulaks and Old Believers with essentially THE EXACT SAME SET UP.

No, "they" are not trying to divide us. They are trying to foment us fighting each other out of contempt via proximity. Food, rather than being a unifying force, will be the causes belli for it, and "they" couldn't be happier at the prospects of it.

Civic nationalism can end in no other way. Human nature doesnt change, and the grand experiment of civ-nationalism is going to be broken against the rocks of that human nature, but not before billions are dead.

Ominous.

@Drifter -- I saw a story where a farmer was showing off a letter from a government agency demanding he kill off crops and that they were watching by satellite and would inform him when "enough" had been killed. (I think it was the EPA, though it might have been Dept. of Agriculture.)

You are absolutely correct that it is ominous: we're seeing pretty blatant attacks against logistics and especially food... and if the farmer caved due to monetary inducement, thinking that the cash-now would be worth anything when there's no food is... troubling for such a future-minded profession as farming.

Never a believer in subsidies to destroy crops or pay to leave land fallow unnecessarily. Now we may not have a choice.

In times of plenty the storehouses should have been filled. This excess would be perfect to help the truly needy. No need for a separate food program to inflate food prices.

But greed to keep prices high performing such actions cause planned shortages. Anyone accepting government money to leave workable land fallow to participate in the scheme is one of the minions. It is anti-bibical.

Plan for yourself and family. Government does not care.

Manufacturing The Next Crisis? Okay....

That youtube covid expert, Dr. John Campbell, just released a video stating that the Whuhan lab has been working on the Monkeypox virus. Apparently Whuhan is working on a treatment. I guess there is no correlation between the lab and the pox outbreak. <Wink>

You just can't make this stuff up... The next crisis indeed...

@Andyk -- I would do it; the big issue (and I think most people understand this, at least sub-consciencely) is that a righteous leader, one who will be actively anti-corruption, is essentially signing his own death-warrant. Only Jesus' Devine Protection could deliver such a leader alive through their time in office, if they were to vigorously pursue Justice.

It has seemed pretty clear to me for awhile that at least one of the next big planned crises was going to be food. I've been suspicious for years about the source of it - all of it. Sometimes on social media, people will share memes that talk about the old days of backyard gardening, canning, and such, and how if we'd all just bring this back, we'd have no shortage issues, won't be priced out, and won't have to worry about various food poisonings/recalls or GMO and so on. And it makes me laugh when I consider how that would go over where I live.

I live on the outskirts of an urban area and I would be shocked to see the average shopper in my grocery store eat a vegetable at all that isn't a fried potato. It's meat and processed food for them. They are addicts in every sense of the word. And they are going to lose their damn minds as the shortages and/or prices get worse in the meat/processed food categories. If someone handed them a month's worth of fruits and vegetables, they would never ever eat it or even know what to do with it.

For what it's worth, the last couple times I shopped (two different stores) there had been some sort of incident where police were involved, though I never heard any details, and that is unusual. As in, multiple police cars in front of the store and officers interviewing shoppers as I walked inside. There are entire shelves or categories where there is nothing in stock at all (chicken, for example), and that has been going on for months, though it hasn't worsened recently, just holding steady.

I personally am not a believer in the supernatural aspects of this post, but on the demographic aspect he points out some important elements that the why wont women have more babiescrowd ignores.

And these issues, the foremost being not just the incredible monetary cost but also the time cost - being that the current social dictate that children must be monitored 24/7 until at least the age of 13 if not longer. Throw in the descent into dystopian nightmare that is accelerating the decision not to have kids becomes the rational choice.

Likely this is by design. Johnny Rotten warned of No Future in 1977 he was ahead of his time.

It has been my observation that this correlation goes especially so for sugar skull tattoos. The constant seems to be about 2-2.5lbs overweight for every square inch of sugar skull tattoo.

To very politely disagree, you can make the cost of your dying be sufficiently high that it becomes ineffective to keep trying to impose the same thing on others. Not very promising for you (or me in a similar situation), but hopefully worthwhile in the long run. In the meantime, take pride in your setup, and continue to aspire to the sort of independence that created our once great society.
May the scoreboard weigh heavily in your (in fact all of our) favour if the time comes to keep count.

The dating scene is a disaster. If there is any Market Ticker chick interested in a fit, tattoo free, outdoors man, financially independent libertarian leaning, traditional man give me a shout out.

Not interested in pink, purple, green or other colors of the rainbow hair color. I can handle one tattoo but if you have multiple I'm out. Not interested in hefty, I don't mind a little meat on your bones but be prepared to give up chips, snacks, and sodas as there is none in my house. no piercings. No Biden voters. Must have a libido. Skiing and biking is a plus!

Otherwise I will continue raising two strong capable critically thinking human beings and continue to put my love life on the back burner while I live a drama free existence.

While I cant speak for others, I find the second amendment to be a much bigger issue. The second amendment being lost(or severely eroded) would be the exclamation point to the end of America.

I volunteered at a community center some time ago. Food banks had just become prevalent and the center was involved with the local ones. They were organizing drives for canned and pre-prepared foods. Much of it with poor nutrition and expensive in the first place. We were always short.

On my own I priced out getting bulk beans, rice, spices, flour, etc. Plus recipes for making nutritious and tasty meals from scratch ingredients. As volunteers we could bag the bulk product into individual and family packs with included recipes. Basically an entirely different way that we could support more people with with the resources we had.

Oh man, did that go over well. I was almost made a pariah because, Why should the poor not have access to the same convenient food as everyone else? Why should they be treated any differently?

I'm sure an unstated reason was that people just wouldn't use the scratch ingredients anyway and it would just be thrown out. Now that I know better they would have been right.

It's an easy mistake to believe people will think and behave as you would in the same circustances. That simply isn't true. And they will never change until their backs are against the wall. And even then many won't even if it kills them.

How many people remember or even know of the Wickard v. Filburn Supreme Court decision that said a farmer setting aside a portion of his wheat crop for his family was a violation of interstate trade.

Wonder what the current regulatory regime could do with that decision regarding back yard gardens and fruit trees?

There's a church that does regular food giveaways in our neck o'da woods. Yesterday was fresh fruit and vegetables. Got a call because there was so much left over. But come on a day when they give away sweets, well, they run out...

@Wd, my mother (God rest her gentle soul) and I had a major disagreement earlier in our lives together. I used to gawk and make some under-my-breath comments in supermarkets when we'd see folks paying for convenience/junk/processed foods with what were then food stamps, which have now evolved to EBT cards in an effort to end the "stigma" bullshit. Most of what we saw were snack foods, desserts, sodas...basically empty calorie foods. Still do today, nothing has changed. She argued with me, several times, that there was no problem with that. Just because you're "poor" doesn't mean you should be deprived of anything. It was infuriating then, and it still bothers me now even though she's been gone 10+ years now. The only possible explanation I can come up with to explain it is that she, me and my brother WERE foodstamps-using, living-in-the-projects-poor way back when I was a kid, and it embarrassed her for our sake. I, however, didn't see it that way then and still don't to this day. I empathize with her and always loved her, and miss her to this day, but won't ever agree with her.

There's a local county run food pantry not too far from us, and distribution day is on Fridays. They literally shut down a major secondary road and have county police directing traffic every week to manage the number of cars in line (not a new thing, it's been like this since even before covid hit). When you see a mile long line of late model BMW's, SUV's, Donks (for those that know what those are), etc. waiting to get free food, you know there's a problem. I vividly remember standing in line, after WALKING from home, to either our church or one of the elementary schools maybe twice a year to get a free loaf of government cheese, a pound or two of butter and maybe some milk powder. And we were damned grateful for what we got.

Look at what most Hispanics have in their shopping buggies the next time you are shopping. They know the value of a dollar. There might be a couple snacky-poofs, but most of it will be produce, proteins, and raw starches.

(old man, get off my lawn rant/end)

It's not a rosy outlook for sure. In talking with various youths, from church, family gatherings, work, etc, they know it. There's definitely a sense of dread about some unknown future, economic, political, and social horrors, and the only knowledge being that things will definitely get worse.
I'm not sure which is worse - growing up in these current times, or growing up 20-30 years ago just expecting things to keep growing and getting better, and then ending up here.

There is something even worse than a food shortage, and that is the inability to absorb the food that you eat.

For the past year my mom (vaccinated, one booster) has had stomach gurgles after each meal. She never mentioned it to me, and didn't pay much attention to it. Then for the past month she had diarrhea. Not horribly; just once a day, but still it was odd so she had tests done. She has pancreatic insufficiency; her pancreas is not producing enzymes; she will be on $900/month pharma pancreatic enzymes for the rest of her life (paid for by insurance once she is out of the $3,000 donut hole). She has also been told to switch to a low fat diet.

This does not run in my family. I have never known anyone with this.

I was telling a friend about it. She is double vaccinated and double boosted. She was silent for some time, on the other end of the phone. Then she told me that for the past month, her stomach has been gurgling after each meal.

The virus attacks organs, and invades the pancreas, and so the virus itself could be a problem. But their vaccinations certainly have not helped. I mentioned this to our dog's alternative veterinarian (who is not vaccinated). She is grimly focused on the many blood clots that are happening. She speculated that there could be clots in the pancreas that are affecting function.

There are not enough pancreatic enzymes out there for the number of people this could end up affecting.
