Umm, no...the MBA class doesn't get away with blaming the consumer to absolve them of the sins they committed that helped get us here. At no time did housewives storm the General Electric headquarters and start beating senior vice-presidents link piatas for a $50 cheaper washing machine. The executives initiated that activity all on their ****ing own, thus beginneth the destruction of US manufacturing and the decades long race to the bottom.

Has anyone ever actually read the ingredients on an infant formula box? The old-fashioned formulas could hardly be worse, and seem a lot better. Both of the below examples have cow's milk. But, we need to feed formula because cow's milk is bad and babies cannot have it? The vast majority of the population seem to reason about as well as a goldfish.

This is one of the better formulas, it seems, Similac. Let's see...cow's milk without the fat, but fat is actually needed, so let's put engineered bad-for-you oils back into it, and some whey protein, vitamins, and salt.

Nonfat Milk, Lactose, High Oleic Safflower Oil, Whey Protein Concentrate, Soy Oil, Coconut Oil. Less than 2% of: C. Cohnii Oil, M. Alpina Oil, Short-chain Fructooligosaccharides, Beta-Carotene, Lutein, Potassium Citrate, Calcium Carbonate, Ascorbic Acid, Soy Lecithin, Potassium Chloride, Magnesium Chloride, Ferrous Sulfate, Choline Bitartrate, Choline Chloride, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Salt, Taurine, Inositol, Zinc Sulfate, Mixed Tocopherols, d-Alpha-Tocopheryl Acetate, Niacinamide, Calcium Pantothenate, L-Carnitine, Vitamin A Palmitate, Copper Sulfate, Thiamine Hydrochloride, Riboflavin, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Folic Acid, Manganese Sulfate, Phylloquinone, Biotin, Sodium Selenate, Vitamin D3, Vitamin B12, Calcium Phosphate, Potassium Phosphate, Potassium Iodide, Potassium Hydroxide, and Nucleotides (Adenosine 5-Monophosphate, Cytidine 5-Monophosphate, Disodium Guanosine 5-Monophosphate, Disodium Uridine 5-Monophosphate). Contains milk and soy ingredients.

Enfamil seems worse, corn syrup water, non-fat cow milk again, soy protein, and the engineered bad-for-you oils again.

Corn syrup solids, partially hydrolyzed nonfat milk and whey protein concentrate solids (soy), vegetable oil (palm olein, soy, coconut and high oleic sunflower oils) and less than 2%: Mortierella alpinaoil*, Crypthecodinium cohnii oil, vitamin A palmitate, vitamin D3, vitamin E acetate, vitamin K1, thiamin hydrochloride, riboflavin, vitamin B6 hydrochloride, vitamin B12, niacinamide, folic acid, calcium pantothenate, biotin, ascorbic acid, choline chloride, inositol, calcium carbonate, calcium phosphate, magnesium phosphate, ferrous sulfate, zinc sulfate, manganese sulfate, cupric sulfate, sodium selenite, sodium citrate, potassium chloride, potassium iodide, taurine, L-carnitine.* A source of arachidonic acid (ARA). A source of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).

I used to wonder how so many stupid people actually managed to keep existing and find their way to and from home each day. But, then I read that a goldfish can drive a car. I stopped wondering.

The (goldfish) test subjects were successfully trained to navigate a "fish-operated vehicle" past obstacles and to a target at the opposite end of a room in return for a fish food reward.

Like the goldfish, the Boobus Americanus can make it from A to B for a food reward.

What a bunch of garbage ingredients. Putting corn syrup, vegetable oil, or soy in infant formula should be a capital offense.

Breast-feeding is the way go to. And if you can't produce the milk from your own boobs, find a human who can, and pay them for theirs. Make sure they aren't on any meds, especially anti-depressants. And you probably don't want any vaxxed breast milk. If for no other reason that if they are dumb enough to take the clot shot who knows what else they are dumb enough to put in their bodies. Yeah, it will cost a lot of money.

If no humans are available, I would go with animal milk (goat or cow) before diabetes-in-a-bottle

I run an assembly line that makes auto parts. My woke employer has ONE supplier that makes a very complex looking plastic part that goes into all of the parts I make. Recently, our supplier had an injection molding machine suffer some kind of catastrophic failure. We are now limping along at half capacity.

I have complained for years that the supplier is shorting us on parts count. For example. It takes 4000 parts to make a completed box of 2500 finished parts. Somehow we are being shorted. Tell the engineer or management and I get an eye roll and brush off. After ***** I dont GAF.

You cant fix stupid, but you can find another job if your current one implodes. :-)

Complicating the problem is that formula may at this point be safer than clot shot tainted milk.

That the TPTB are saying don't make your own formula suggests that may be the safest route for now. Wet nurses could make a comeback but there is still the tainted problem...

When I adopted my daughter, she was 15 months old. However, the adoption agency told all of us to prepare for our children to be at any level of feeding. (I was part of a group of 50 families who adopted internationally) They could not guarantee what we would need. The same went for diapers. So, My family and I spent 6 months before I brought her home, buying up baby food, diapers and formula. I had more than enough to see her through whatever phase she was at. I didn't need the baby food or formula as she would not take either. I donated everything to a grandma who was raising her grandbaby after the Mom died in an accident.
You can be prepared. You just have to think long term. Something many people don't seem to have a clue how to do. smiley

The diesel shortage on the east coast can be attributed to one thing: Russian Sanctions.
The Jones Act is in play also. It makes shipping crude from Texas ports to East Coast refineries illegal on anything but a US flagged and US staffed tanker ship. Good luck with that.

Is breaking this bond a part of the reason for a decline of the family in America?

@Greenacr -- Yes. The family has been under assault for fifty years, or more... Look at how abortion and welfare were pushed so hard, especially on the black American families and understand this: what they did to them, they intend to do to everyone.

If you're up for it, take a trip to pol and ask about "the war on oxytocin".

Whitehat wrote..
Then ask yourself why young men do not want to participate just to be slaves and make more slaves, and why the clever merely play the game to win.

@Whitehat -- Except that now the government- and corporate-pushed policies have made it essentially impossible to win. Young men aren't idiots, though they may do stupid things, and they can see/feel how society simply doesn't want them and does everything it can to undermine a fulfilling success: look at how H1Bs were imported to undercut jobs like programming, look at how the border wasn't enforced to undercut jobs like roofing & construction, look at how universities are poisoning women with feminism (which declares that any and all ills are external, the patriarchy, the fault of men -- robbing them of the ability to even be grateful), look at how maligned the young are with "Millennials are ruining X" headlines (ignore that Millennials aren't in the positions of power, or that these are starting to get into high-school kids). Process-wise everything is against the young man, citizen, "playing by the rules", getting gainful employment, having a family and place in the community.

And not only intentional, they think it's funny. Did you catch Biden's new press secretary laughing about the shortage? They know they have the population Stockholm syndromed, and so there will be no backlash.

@Confused1 -- And what backlash do you propose? What would not spark off confirmation of the right-wing white-supremacy fueled domestic terrorism that they've been pushing hard in the MSM for years now? What backlash would be effective?

The last backlash, which was quite small, was the GameStop fiasco: tons of average joes buying up the stock that some idiot funds-managers had short-sold for more than actually existed -- what came of that? Ah, right, talk of regulators prohibiting average-joe from investing... after leveraging the violations of the fiduciary relationship from those facilitating the trades.

The whole Business School/MBA paradigm over the last 40-50 years has been one giant "**** you I got mine". Not to mention the problem with the whole "maximize shareholder value" conceit is that it doesn't require that anything be actually produced to do so, therefore often nothing is.

My ex bought this bull**** hook line and sinker. He, however, did not destroy any businesses with his (un)knowledge but went straight into working for big daddy government (DOD). So ended up doing even MORE damage to society.

I have worked for a couple of employers I have feel dirty about having worked for, but I at least have the clear conscience of not having worked for government in any form.

Oh,Lookie here someone is trying to do something about increased gas prices....
The measure, which is unlikely to garner the Republican support needed to become law, would prohibit price increases during national energy emergencies declared by the president.

Price gouging needs to be stopped, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday after announcing the bill. This is a major exploitation of the consumer.

The bill, called the Consumer Fuel Price Gouging Prevention Act, would also give the Federal Trade Commission the power to issue penalties for price gouging, according to a summary of the legislation. It would prioritize penalizing larger companies, while protecting independently owned gas stations.

So, is a 9.4% profit margin considered gouging now?

Welp, vast majority of young women of breeding age voted for open borders and free **** for everyone (i.e. marxist dems).......they can share their infant formula with the entire third world.

We've seen in first world nations the white women welcoming the invaders with open legs. Then the thugs******and beat them. No sympathy/don't care.

I read this morning that the one plant is shut down by the FDA even though the alleged contamination can't be traced back to the plant using bio samples. If so, why was it down for so long? Because one kid died? So what?

I'll point out that the fake vax has killed THOUSANDS of people and the FDA isn't doing **** about that! Can you say double standard? And how many kids in the womb did the mRNA cocktail kill? Thousands.

Libs will say but but but MY GRANDMA IS AT RISK! Well, **** your grandma, she's old and had her time. We don't need to **** an entire society because an old woman gets sick.

@Dingleberry -- Ah, yes; the obviously stolen election's results were the fault of the voters, and especially the Millennials.

Trump lost.
He lost because he refused to fight, he refused to stand for truth and justice. He lost because he willfully failed to see that his oath to see the laws upheld in fact were upheld. Trump could have received every single non-fraudulent vote and he still would have lost because of this.
In short, Trump is a loser because when the chips were down he refused to fight.

It is more appropriately denoted as "high treason" - actively and with malice aforethought, aiding and abetting the enemies of these United States. I don't use the term "traitor" lightly, and I am unfamiliar with how often (if ever) that it's been prosecuted in this country. Rosenbergs maybe, but I don't know. In any event, nothing will change so long as these traitors aren't making their way through the justice system and ultimately convicted and sentenced to Leavenworth or the gallows.

@Traelin0 -- You are, of course, correct.
The proper way to address injustice is not "injustice, but favoring our side", but rather Justice.

Long past time to move past ascribing stupidity and/or incompetence to the Brandon administration. More like malice is closer to the truth.

It's not one thing that could be dismissed by itself; it's the number of different things going on. All of which skew against the middle class. All of them. Only difference between today and thirty years ago is the blatant in-your-face nature of the skew.

Baby formula for illegal immigrants, but not for Americans? Check
Keep pushing jabs for all? Check
Push masking for children, even today? Check
Require ***** hospital treatment with Run-death-is-near? Check
Burn a few major food processing plants? Check
B!ll G4t3s buying all that farmland? Check
Continue diverting corn crops to ethanol? Check
Kill those oil/gas leasing programs? Check
Don't fund investment in electrical infrastructure? Check
Crony corporatism using regulations to block small competitors? Check
Pushing gender bullcrap and other woke concepts on our children? Check
Woke DA's pushing no cash bail policies? Check
Spending $40b to fight Russia to the last Ukrainian? Check
Ukrainian sovereignty is more important than our southern border? Check

That's just a sample, by the way.
So much more where that came from.
That's your PSA for the day.
Malice abounds.

I can't address every last one of these things in my own life. So I pick my battles: in my case, I'm choosing local battles.

I read that breastfeeding a child will raise its IQ about 8 points. Yes, having a child is an inconvenience, so go ahead and sacrifice your child's future so that you can have a bull**** job or you don't want sagging hooters from nursing the baby you brought into the world. I'm glad that I was breast-fed and that my child was too. Why would anyone in their right mind want to put some industrial vat-produced concoction, along with accompanying rat and insect droppings into their child's mouth?

Maybe we should think of sanctions as politically induced supply chain issues. Our deindustrialization has put us into the kind of straits that the sanctioning-happy as*holes who run our country would like to impose on any nation that doesn't genuflect to us or worship Israel. So the deindustrialization, monopolization, and just-in-time supply policy has effectively shot America in the foot. Perhaps we should avoid getting into any ass-kicking contests for now.

Reagan is highly overrated. Yes, the energy issues improved over what they were under Nixon-Ford-Carter but plenty of bad was introduced as well.

In particular (1) the MBA "shareholder value" worship, M&A corporate raider mania that has done so much damage, and (2) the MIC fattening through CIA "intelligence" as provided by Raytheon, Northrup Grumman, DynCorp, ect. about Soviet capabilities that were nothing resembling reality. It has bankrupted us as much as it did them it just took longer.

Not to mention many new "conservative" nanny state intrusions. So **** Reagan too.

I haven't had the need for baby formula in a long time but one thing I do need is food for the pets. I've been noticing prices have been climbing and about 2 months ago Costco started rationing how many bags of dog food you can buy. I've also noticed that sites like Chewy have had food shortages too. Considering our fur children are better than 98% of humans we know we don't want them to do without food so we have 6 months of food on hand for each of them. Whenever we see food in the store, we get it and rotate the stock every month to avoid spoilage.

Also, had to go to the car dealer to pick up a part for the truck this morning (had been on order for a month) and they only had 5 new vehicles (1 in showroom 4 on lot). I asked about it and 3 of the 5 were already sold. They also have fewer used than the last time I was there.
