@Kareninca,

The link was to the CDC's weekly provisional death counts. It's basically in spreadsheet form, and divided by rows into geographic areas (the US and the states), then divided into separate weeks. columns are "All Causes", "Diseases of the Heart", etc.

The column I graphed is one that Tickerguy pointed out some time ago--a catch-all column that seems to get sudden deaths that don't end up with autopsies... kinda' hard to say, but the exponential rise started with the jabs. It looks like one to watch...

So, will this reverse Southwest's mandate?

I'm not an attorney, but I don't think so. The executive order from Biden trumps the EO from Abbott. AFAIK, states cannot dictate terms for federal contracting.

However, it is also true that Southwest and the other airlines have until late 2022 to require vaccination. The contracted air travel they are referring to is done between city pairs and is handled on a fiscal year basis. Southwest has a contract to carry all official federal travel between Las Vegas and the Long Beach, Burbank, and Ontario airports for FY 22, for example (American has the LAS-LAX contract). Southwest agrees to a fixed price for the tickets, and in return the federal government commits to use them for all travel between those destinations during the fiscal year. The contracts have already been executed for FY22. As discussed previously, unless renegotiated the vaccine requirement cannot be added at this point. The FY 23 contracts will be signed sometime in 2022, but won't be in effect until October 1 of next year. So there's really no rush to do this by December 8.

@Quantum I am an attorney and I don't know the answer. LOL Obviously, this could end up being a clash of state's rights vs. federal law, which was to some extent what precipitated the Civil War.

I see where a US District Court in NY issued a temporary injunction against the vaccine mandates as to medical workers. This court and the one in the Western Michigan case relied on the religious exemption. I'd rather see them decide them on a civil rights basis and come right out and say the vaccines don't do what the CDC claims they do and don't justify an abridgment of one's civil rights. Without looking at the challenges I'd assume those were raised as well. It may be that right now the courts see the First Amendment issue as the clearer basis and won't opine on the other grounds for now. Hopefully the light bulbs start going on and people wake up to this scam.

I would like to see a court rule as broadly as you're suggesting, and basically say the vaccines are crap. I have a dim memory of a Supreme Court case from my law & econ class that said a regulation could be attacked if it failed to accomplish the stated goals--but establishing that there was indeed a failure would be difficult and completely beyond an individual's means unless a legal group took the case on to try to get a high-profile ruling.

@Quantum Southwest can comply with both mandates. It has the option to no-bid future federal contracts due to an inability to perform given their current legal environment. Sure, this will impact future business and reduce the need pilots and staff. Management can make that case to the union as part of their negotiations as required in the RLA.

Yeah, lets give bill gates even more of our medical data. Screw that test. At the very least, they should pay us to take it.

I hear you. I thought about that. What can I say? I was desperate. I rationalized it by thinking that TPTB already have access to my genome. They could hack the lab that does my annual blood work if they really wanted to. The State of Kansas definitely has my genetic information thanks to my stupidly getting a PCR test a year ago.

As for Microsoft, the app I had to install to access telemed provider myfreedoctor.com to get hydroxychloroquine-- an app called Medici -- was designed by Microsoft, and I had to transmit my entire medical history through that app.

If I want to be paranoid, I have PLENTY of things to be paranoid about. I rationalized it by telling myself that Bill Gates is no longer at Microsoft. Yeah, I know. Like that matters.

You're right. Both Bill Gates and the federal government can get all the information about me they want, including my personal genome. What can I say?

Bill Gates has been suspiciously silent recently. Makes me wonder what other evils he might be cooking up.

If your particular "circle of friends and acquaintances" hasn't seen a spike of severe injuries, disability and mortality yet -- I'll make a prediction: It will.

Describes my situation perfectly. All are fine (so far). No "brain fog" or anything wrong. BIL who is a plastic surgeon, and his daughter, a pharmacist, got their boosters last week. They live far from me, so I mainly get this news from my Sister via phone calls.
I now ask almost all the time "How are they doing?", always dreading a bad reply.
