@Eleua,

"No. It's demographic replacement. The Ruling Class wants people that are easier to control and who will vote for them, no matter how corrupt they are.

Been going on since the last 1960s, and it is a world-wide phenomenon."

I agree, but disagree on your timeline. TPTB have been engineering a complete takeover for over 100 years. It picked up speed thanks to WWI and WWII. McCarthy, as much as he was a bit of an odd ball, picked up on the Communist U.S. presence in the '50s. He went off the deep end and ruined his reputation by barking up the wrong tree and declaring everyone left of center a pinko. Bad move. By the '60s, many of our higher institutions like Berkley, were havens for minions of Mao's Cultural Revolution.

White folks are a bit too trusting when it comes to their overseers. We are long over due for an awakening the likes of which will shake the world to its very foundation. Just my take on it FWIW.

"Nah, no way the border disaster is tied into Americans dying off. Silly conspiracy theory, right?

The Chamber of Commerce wouldn't import illegals to do the jobs American are no longer available to do.......that's just crazy talk."

Exactly! White Europeans came up with the idea of self governance. Our forefathers envisioned a democratic republic based upon European values. We have become lazy and weak, allowing "elected" leaders to control things, increasingly at our own derailment.

We are being replaced by other races who are promised the free "gibs". Their desire is to mooch off of whatever welfare entitlements have been offered in this country in great abundance, particularly since 1965. Note that year. It was when Congress opened up our immigration to the Turd World. We've been slowly going downhill ever since. Useless wars like Korea, Vietnam, Afghansistan, et al have only exacerbated the decline.

Exactly. My daughter graduated college last year, but of course nobody was hiring in the spring of 2020, so she kept going and now has a masters degree. There are plenty of promising looking postings, but they're all with companies that either explicitly or presumptively require shots.

She did not want to start her career working for my business, but in her mind, it beats getting stabbed, and I obviously have no such requirement.

The local paper is also wondering where all the workers are now that the extra unemployment money is gone. The answer is either dead or not going back to work under such idiotic conditions as many places are requiring.

Almost every chain outfit or mega employer here has put the employees back in masks, which is doubtless a major demoralization after advertising the jab as a way back to normalcy.

Most of the smaller restaurants and businesses have not gone back to that nonsense, but in talking to them, they're not really looking to ramp up hiring back to normal levels even if they could find workers because they fully expect lockdown again and are not going to add the extra staff to extend hours because of that looming threat.

Who would EVER open a small-business again that can be shuttered via fiat with no due process?

Marc Faber mentioned in a recent interview that he has NO knowledge of that EVER happening in history.

There are so many first, second, third, and fourth order effects from this that no human can predict them. And it will last for decades.

The ONLY way to fix this (aside from having about 2 generations of "no more lockdowns" is laws against future lockdowns and putting those who orchestrated these lockdowns in jail for the rest of their lives

Go to prison (you come back on it when you get out.)

Long time reader lurker. I couldn't wrap my head around the reason so many criminals were being released from prison over the last year and a half for Covid which has the added benefit of bolstering the total minimizing tempering additional death toll losses

@Onething@atime: Voice is a low margain service that isn't very sexy. Lots of legacy platforms and services happening in the background whether it's wireless or wireline. There's the SS7 that has had it's obituary written every other year since 1998. STP's that handle the call set up and tear down., SCP's for advanced servies. SBC's and various file servers and routers for VoIP, E-911 and more recently stir/shaken for dealing with robocalls. If the telecoms could get away with turning all of that off tomorrow and tell their customers "So sorry...just run Skype on your phone if you want to talk to someone" they would do it in a second. So instead, the crappier companies just don't spend a lot on the their voice networks and the really ****ty ones are running entire networks of patched together end of life hardware if they buy anything "new" it's refurbished junk.Your 911 call in Columbus when you have a heart attack might not go through because of a network outage in Houston.

Example: The Nashville bombing.

AT&T had the contract for E-911 in a huge part of Tennessee and neighboring states. The primary switch and routing hub for it was in that building. The CONTRACT specified no single points of failure subject to either man-made event or natural disaster.

AT&T lied; the entire building had ONE fiber entrance, not two or more AND there was no redundancy in the network pathing OR ROUTING infrastructure. The bomb was placed right on top of said conduit location (gee, you think THAT was an accident? 20-30' either direction and it would not have killed the site) and severed it. The result was NO 911 service over a HUGE part of several states, including all the way up into the NE corner of TN!

Who went to jail for that? Nobody.

Yep. It took a car bomb to reveal AT&T's ****ery. Smaller outfits can cause just as much havoc without flattening a city block. During tour in SS7 it became obvious that if someone wasn't constantly keeping watch on how those links were being groomed they would put the entire SS7 network on a couple of T3's comingled with customer traffic by *******s trying to be heroes to accounting $100 at a time. They don't even get large fines passed onto the dumbass shareholders anymore.

As odd as it may sound, nearly every small business and restaurant in the town I live managed to survive King Andrew's lockdowns and has since re-opened for business. There is new construction going on and new businesses opening. Had you visited this summer and been unaware of Covid, you might not have thought anything out of the ordinary. I'm not going to assume they're not struggling, but so far they have kept up the appearances of business as usual.

I am not so sure though that more people won't go into business for themselves as the idiots in charge are providing extremely strong incentives for people to say **** *** to their employer to get out from under the mandates.

@Zappafan,

Thanks for the link. Eyeballing the CDC table, it looks like the average number for excess deaths is 120%, meaning that over the last few weeks in their tables, 20% more people died than expected. With The CDC expecting about 2.8MM deaths, you get 570K excess deaths if you're 20% over. Some are due to Covid, of course, but certainly not all. Fascinating is the excess death percentage hitting 145% of expected last winter, dropping to maybe 109% over the summer, then spiking in August back up to 130%. And that's probably undercounted, since the lag in reporting means 12 weeks is the best first use of the weekly data.

It doesn't come close to KD's figure of 1.2MM, of course, but it's only off by one binary order of magnitude.

Any ideas on how you would show that the CDC is undercounting deaths outside of using Karl's proprietary dataset? The numbers he cited on HHS expenditures remaining flat are great for showing an excess killing of Medicare recipients.

The BLS numbers can have a rational amount of error in them. If they do it will be adjusted out in January. Some of those adjustments have been large, some small.

@Jack_Crab and Pinwiz - True story about Ron Smith and shows you the type of person he was. When he was initially diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, he would play cards every Friday night. Obviously he told the guys at the card game about the bad news, immediately everybody stars saying how sorry they were for him...Smith's response, "I am here to play cards, lets play cards".

@Chromehill - In this day and age, you are probably right. I remember how much heat he took from conservatives when he came out against Bush's invasion of Iraq. (History has proven Ron to be right.)

But WBAL, which used to be a voice for conservatism, has totally caved to Big Pharma, probably in part due to the ad revenue they get from them (and the state) pushing the vaccine. No one on WBAL questions the mask mandates, much less the vax.

At least WCBM still has conservative voices - the only radio station in the Baltimore area that leans to the right.

Thank you for that. Even though it's depressing.

Not that I come here to feel good. Because I don't. Sort of, but mostly... no, that's not the point.

When I want to feel a little better I sometimes turn to this guy:

And then there's the little guy. But I won't post his portrait here.

Well, then, I must conclude that HR is staffed entirely by women.

Possibly overseen by effiminate men.

Staffed, at the very least, by effiminate women.

Yes, women can be effiminate. Effiminacy being the unwillingness to exert oneself for the sake of the arduous good. That's why it's called effiminacy.

So we get "people" people who "just can't be bothered" with stuff that is the substance of their job.
